“ | I just pray that this fighting will end as swiftly as possible. No one desires this war. So why must it continue? | ” | — Eirika to Ephraim |
---|
Eirika (pronounced /ˈɛɹɪkə/[key][2]; Japanese: エイリーク Eirik) is the princess of Renais, daughter of King Fado and twin sister of Crown Prince Ephraim. Exiled from her kingdom during Grado's initial onslaught of Renais, she was a leader of the effort to defeat Grado and protect the Sacred Stones it sought to destroy.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Role
Eirika is one of the two main characters of the game. In the beginning of the game, she escapes Renais as it is invaded by Grado, accompanied by Seth. At the time, her twin brother Ephraim has been fighting in Grado and is missing. She gathers many companions on her journey, and after arriving at Frelia and meeting her friend Tana, she decides to travel to Grado and find her brother.
After a reunion, the two return to Frelia to plan for their next course of action. At this point, the player can choose either Eirika's route or Ephraim's route, two different possible ways that the story can go. Either way, Eirika goes to Jehanna with Innes with the purpose of warning Jehanna of the war. The two soon reunite, and go to Renais to receive the two sacred weapons. Eirika receives the sacred sword Sieglinde. Together, the twins manage to defeat the Demon King, Fomortiis.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Eirika is one of the two lords in The Sacred Stones. She is the main lord for the first eight chapters of the game. Post Chapter 8, the player can choose to follow either Eirika or Ephraim; the chosen sibling becomes the main lord for the rest of the game, while the other leaves the party and joins again in Chapter 15.
As a unit, Eirika is a mixed bag. She boasts perfect availability if chosen. Further, she is force-deployed on her route, freeing her from competition for a team slot. Her starting weapon, the Rapier, is very strong; it boasts 7 might, which is tripled against knights and cavalry. She has an impressive speed growth, allowing her to double consistently throughout the game; however, her starting speed is only decent at 9, so she can fail to double the early game fighters.
After Chapter 16, Eirika can promote to Great Lord. She acquires a horse and some much-needed defensive boosts. Complementing her newfound mobility and bulk is the Sieglinde, a 16 MT sword which grants +5 strength and is doubly effective against monsters. With it, she can defeat almost all enemies, monstrous or otherwise, in a single round. Even if she has not gained a single point of strength in her entire campaign, Great Lord Eirika with Sieglinde has 43 attack against monsters, which is enough to kill any non-Draco Zombie or non-Cyclops monster in the main story if she doubles.
However, Eirika has some severe flaws as a unit. Most obvious is her extreme frailty. Her defensive stats are weak to begin with, and her uninspiring growths in them do not compensate. Her mobility is also low before promotion, meaning that she is often unable to reach combat before mounts and promoted foot units. Her strength also leaves much to be desired, with a low base and average growth. Swords are the weakest weapon type in terms of might, and the only powerful swords she can wield early on which do not weigh her down significantly are her Rapier and the Shamshir. She also lacks 1-2 range, rendering her not very effective at taking on enemies on enemy phase. Finally, her availability is fairly bad in Ephraim route, and it is questionable if she is worth the deployment slot.
Fire Emblem Awakening
Role
Eirika makes several appearances in the downloadable content of Fire Emblem Awakening. In Champions of Yore 1 and 3, she is an enemy, while in the second chapter, she appears as an allied NPC unit with Lyn and Celica. She returns as an enemy in Smash Brethren 2, where, after completing the chapter, she introduces the player to the Bride class, and rewards them with the Wedding Bouquet. She reverts to her SpotPass appearance as an enemy in Smash Brethren 3, Rogues & Redeemers 2, and Rogues & Redeemers 3.
As with several other legacy characters in Awakening, there is a unique weapon named for Eirika available through the Barracks or event tiles: Eirika's Blade.

Eirika/ Heroes stats
Role
There are eight different variations of Eirika available to Heroes. The normal variation of Eirika is one of the characters added to the game in the Family Bonds update, and became available for summoning by players on February 15, 2017; she is one of the first four characters added to the game whose data was not present in the game at its launch. A second variation of Eirika, here dubbed the "Sacred Memories" variation after the name of the summoning event she debuted in for lack of a theme common to most other variant characters, was made available on January 25, 2018 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the Fiery Resolve update. A variation of Eirika termed "Graceful Resolve" was first made available to players on October 31, 2018 as the game's twelfth Legendary Hero. A winter variation of Eirika was made available between the period of December 18, 2018 through January 18, 2019 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the Gifts of Winter update. A young variation of Eirika was made available between the period of April 19, 2021 to May 19, 2021 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the Childhood Encounter update, the update where this variation was added to the game; this variation is a Duo Hero, teamed up alongside Ephraim. A brave variation of Eirika, featuring her wearing the armor of Ephraim, was made available on August 17, 2021 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the Howling Descent update. A summer variation of Eirika was made available between the period of July 7, 2022 through August 7, 2022 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the Taken by the Tide update. An attuned variation of Eirika was added on July 16, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to August 6, 2024.
Personality
Throughout the game, Eirika is shown to care for others, especially the ones precious to her. She dislikes fighting, but accepts that in the times of the game it is a necessity for stopping war and bringing peace. Her brother Ephraim is very important to her, and the two share a very close bond as twins. Lyon, her childhood friend is also important to her, even after he becomes evil.

Eirika/Bond conversations
As an Emblem, Eirika does not have any support conversations. However, upon reaching bond level 5, 10, and 20 with any character, she has short bond conversations with them instead, which unlock the next bond level. Increasing bond level provides a variety of bonuses, such as raising the stat bonus Eirika provides to synchronized units, inheriting weapon proficiencies, unlocking new sync skills and engage weapons, or extending the duration of each engagement.
Endings
Eirika, Restoration Queen
Eirika returned to Renais and began the reconstruction effort with her brother, Ephraim. Seeing peace return to the lives of her people filled her with happiness. Her smile became a symbol of her people's joy.
Eirika and Ephraim
Busy days awaited Eirika and Ephraim as they struggled to rebuild Renais. Their work gave new hope to those ravaged by the war, and with Eirika's constant help, Ephraim grew to be a trusted and honorable king.
Eirika and Seth
Upon their return to Renais, Eirika and Seth were wed, with the blessings of Ephraim and all of the Knights of Renais. The tale of the love that grew between a princess and her loyal knight became a beloved romance in Renais.
Eirika and Saleh
After the war, Eirika and Saleh returned to their respective homes. Eirika visited Caer Pelyn when she could. Eventually, she left Renais in the care of her brother and wed Saleh. Their daughter resembles the legendary Nada Kuya.
Eirika and Tana
Following the war, Tana and Eirika remained the best of friends. They visited one another when time permitted, and as they grew older, their children shared a bond of friendship as close as Eirika and Tana themselves did.
Innes and Eirika
After the reconstruction of Renais, Innes challenged Ephraim to a duel. The match ended in a tie. After the fight, Eirika acknowledged her love for Innes, and the two were wed with Ephraim's blessings.
Eirika and Forde
After the war, Eirika and Forde returned to Renais. Eirika spent her days toiling in the reconstruction of Renais, and he was her faithful supporter. His portrait of Eirika captured the smile he had thought lost forever.

Trivia
- Eirika is the third of few female main characters in the games that don't feature an avatar character, after Celica of Fire Emblem Gaiden and Lyn of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.
- When promoted as a Great Lord, Eirika's critical hit animation loses the usual red flash every other unit has (besides magic units)
- Eirika's battle animation as a Lord depicts her wielding her sword in her right hand. However, as a Great Lord, it is the opposite; she wields her sword in her left hand.
- Eirika was present in the title screen of Fire Emblem Heroes before being properly added to the game two weeks after launch. A similar thing occurred with Ike, who was also present before he was added to the game proper two months after launch.
