Shigure (Japanese: シグレ Shigure) is a character in Fire Emblem Fates. The son of Azura, Shigure grew up in a secluded realm.

Shigure is Azura's son, becoming recruitable when she marries. Like the other children of Corrin and their companions, Shigure was placed in the Deeprealms when he was born so that he would be safe from the war. Time in the Deeprealms flows much faster than time outside it, and Shigure soon reached young adulthood.

In his paralogue, Shigure flies to a ship that Corrin and company are riding to travel between Deeprealms. He pleads for help from the group, as his Deeprealm has been invaded and he only barely escaped. The invaders raid the ship, and Corrin, Azura, and their companions drive them off. After the battle, Azura tells Shigure that she checked on his Deeprealm to find that all of his caretakers were killed in the invasion. Devastated that he was unable to save them, Shigure asks Azura if she knows where the invaders come from, and she says that she is currently unable to tell him. Azura asks him if he will accompany her and Corrin now that he cannot return to his Deeprealm, and Shigure accepts. He joins the group and accompanies them thereafter.

Heirs of Fate DLC

Shigure is walking alone through the world of Valla, singing "Lost In Thoughts, All Alone" to himself at the end of each chapter of the Heirs of Fate DLC. At the end of Heirs of Fate III, Shigure comes in contact with his mother, Azura, who mentions that Shigure looks like the first king of Valla, Cadros. After, Azura sings the final portion of "Lost in Thoughts, All Alone" to Shigure, to which she states is the most powerful part of the song, which may make Shigure disappear like bubbles on the surface of water.

Fire Emblem Heroes

Role

There are two different variations of Shigure available to Heroes, all based on his storyline appearance in Fates. The normal variation of Shigure was added to the game in the Rite of Frost update, and became available for summoning by players on April 24, 2018. A performing-arts variation of Shigure was made available between the period of September 29, 2017 through October 30, 2017 in a special performing-arts variation as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the Performing Arts update, the update where this variation was added to the game. Shigure is one of a very few characters to date who had a special variation made available to players before their normal variation in which the normal variation has actually been added to the game, another example being Xander.

Shigure is the son of Azura, the princess who was raised in Hoshido. Although he was brought up in the Deeprealms, he still exudes a distinctive charm, with his handsome features peeking out from under his long hair.	He also has a rare talent for singing—some people even say that he has the power to bewitch others with his voice alone!	In battle, Shigure fights as a gallant sky knight, soaring among the clouds. I hear he takes good care of his pegasus, too, and goes for “strolls in the sky” every day!	As a sky knight and a singer, Shigure is an enchanting presence both on and off the battlefield. I can’t wait to see how he brings his own brand of elegance to Askr!

• Due to Azura being the only non-Corrin female fixed parent in Fates, Shigure is the only child character in Fates who will always have a sibling regardless of who his mother marries.
• Shigure's hair color in his Private Quarters model is determined by his mother's hair color, like other children in Fates. His hair color in his portrait is not variable, and is set to be blue.
• Shigure's portrait in the Heirs of Fate DLC is altered to have Azura's pendant; Azura lacks the pendant in her Heirs of Fate portrait.
