Princess Lucina (Japanese: 王女ルキナ Princess Lucina) is a Hero Battle in Fire Emblem Fates, activated by scanning the Lucina amiibo for the third time. It pits the player against Lucina and some units, known as "Illusions", described as the shades of former soldiers, who represent some of the second generation characters from Fire Emblem Awakening. It takes place on the map of chapter 6.

Note: The returning characters list only those recruited by the time this chapter can first be unlocked (after completing chapter 7 on all routes). Jakob is only a returning character if Corrin is female; if Corrin is male, then Felicia is a returning character instead. As a bonus chapter, there is no set timeframe in which the chapter must be taken on; thus, it is possible to have recruited more characters than the above by the point the chapter is started.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
It is recommended to attempt this chapter around the time your own units promote. The enemy layout will allow you to take care of them in two groups: The Mercenary, Samurai, and Dark Mage should be taken care of in the second turn, saving the Wyvern Rider, Sky Knight, and Lucina for the third turn. Be careful when attacking Lucina, as the bonus damage from her Parallel Falchion will almost certainly one-shot your dragon units. Units with access to good combat from 2 range are useful on this map, as they will be able to be more flexible when choosing their positions on the second turn. Bringing a bow or yumi user can also prove useful to dispatch of the fliers who will attack alongside Lucina, as they can allow you to focus on Lucina with your other units. Due to taking bonus damage from the boss, dragon units should not be deployed for this chapter unless they can either outrange Lucina or take care of her before she can counter them.
It should be noted that when you are asked if you want to recruit Lucina, the default option is 'No'. If you wish to recruit her, be careful if you mash through the dialogue.
