Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If a skill compares unit's Spd to a foe's or ally's Spd, treats unit's Spd as if granted +10. - Sharp War Sword has the same effect as Phantom Spd 3.
- Effects that select units based on stats, such as Chill Def/Res 3, directly select the unit with the appropriate stat(s); they do not compare the team's units pairwise to decide which unit has the highest or lowest stat(s).
- Effects that check if a unit could make follow-up by decreasing the Spd difference, such as Potent 4, are not affected by Sharp War Sword.
- Effects that alter the Spd difference, such as Frozen, are not affected by Sharp War Sword.
- Sharp War Sword stacks with other effects that treats a unit's Spd as if granted by a certain amount.
- For example, if both Buffer 4 and Phantom Spd 3's effects trigger the unit with both skills will have their Spd treated as if granted +17.
- Sharp War Sword applies the Null Follow-Up status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Null Follow-Up is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- Null Follow-Up will not neutralize the additional follow-up of Potent Follow effects.
- Effects that are neutralized by Null Follow-Up:
- Effects that grant the foe a guaranteed follow-up such as Quick Riposte 4, Guaranteed Follow-Ups, or the Grand Conquests Cavalry area effect.
- Effects active on the unit that prevent their follow-up attacks, such as Windsweep 3, Watersweep 3, or Weaving Fighter.
- Effects active on the foe that prevent the unit's follow-up attacks such as Steady Impact, Vengeful Fighter 4, or Foe Cannot Follow-Up.
- Sharp War Sword applies the Dodge status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Dodge is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- The damage-reduction effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- "Reduces damage by X%" effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects can be neutralized or reduced by effects such as Share Spoils or Halves non-Special damage reduction.

- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Dodge is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Sharp War Sword is considered a temporary buff.
