Flopsy Fish are Cheep Cheeps that appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS. Unlike Cheep Cheeps, instead of jumping up in a straight line, Flopsy Fishy jump up and in the water in a curve and can be a bit harder to avoid. Flopsy Fish also have small teeth and their fins are more jagged. In their appearances, Flopsy Fish aren't too hard to defeat and can easily be defeated with stomps, an egg toss, or swallowing (which doesn't produce an Egg). In Yoshi's Island DS, Flopsy Fish appear alongside Cheep Cheeps in the same exhibit and same room of the Museum so as a result, if you hit a Cheep Cheep with an Egg, you will also get the Flopsy Fish with it and vice versa. Flopsy Fish are commonly found in World 3 of the respective games.

A Flopsy Fish makes a minor appearance in Tetris Attack, in which a blue one is shown to be associated with a Lunge Fish.
