Effects | Regresses maturity |
Spoiled nectar is an aged nectar in Pikmin 2... Again?. It looks similar to normal nectar but has a purple tint in its center. It has a chance to come out of nectar eggs, and if a Pikmin drinks it, its current maturity will regress to the leaf stage. If a leaf-stage Pikmin drinks spoiled nectar, nothing will happen. If a Swarming Sheargrub drinks spoiled nectar, they'll be damaged.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “Imagine this: you, as a Pikmin, see a drop of nectar, but when you drink it, the taste is horrible. It is because this nectar was around for so long that it is spoiled, and tastes so bad as to cause the Pikmin's maturity to regress. I feel bad for them in that case.”
Louie's notes
- “Spoiled... Can't eat...”

In Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid, black nectar appears similar to normal nectar, albeit pitch black rather than glistening yellow. When drunk by Pikmin, their buds or flowers will revert to leaves. Black nectar can be safely disposed of either by having a leaf Pikmin drink it or freezing it with Ice Pikmin, which do not drink this substance. Spoiled Filthags mimic black nectar.
In Pikspore
This article or section presents information pertaining to Pikspore, a fanon game created by DrTapeworm. |
Black nectar is a type of nectar in Pikspore that reverts the maturity of a Pikmin that drinks from a blob of it to the leaf stage. Certain enemies utilize this horrible goop and it is sometimes left behind by enemies like the Gulagg after defeat. Black nectar can be destroyed by Black Pikmin, the only Pikmin immune to its negative effects. When leaders touch black nectar, it sticks to them, gradually draining their health and slowing them considerably, but it can be removed by rapidly twirling the control stick.
