Flatbert is a flattenid in Pikmin 2... Again?, first seen at the Welcome Forest, where ten Red Pikmin are attacking it. Past that, the Flatbert becomes a recurring enemy, used as a way to fool leaders and Pikmin into thinking it's a real threat. Flatberts are cardboard cutouts in the shape of a Mewper, a rotund, Biper-like creature drawn with black marker to have two round eyes and a cat-like mouth. They shatter upon defeat. Despite not being alive, it is humorously considered an enemy, albeit a harmless and stationary one.
The supposed forgotten enemy made by PixelThistle.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “Flatbert / Planus otiosus / Flattenid family. These creatures are flat and do nothing for some reason, I tried to touch one and nothing happened, as if they didn't care about anything. Strange how they seem to be everywhere...”
Louie's notes
- “Inedible.”
The President's notes
- “I would place these creatures as decorations somewhere if they don't mind, which I don't think they would, considering they don't mind anything else. Apparently, when Olimar tried to touch one, nothing happened...”
Hocotate Ship's notes
- “It seems... Very boring, actually. It does nothing. Nothing! At this point, I suspect it isn't alive, but it seems nobody agrees with me.”

Flatberts are a new obstacle in Pikmin: Decayed Leaf. They are cardboard cutouts that can resemble just about any enemy type except those that are usually found burrowed or hidden completely. Occasionally, a Flatbert may take the form of a treasure or even a pile of gold nuggets. Flatberts may look like the real deal at first, but if approached, the Flatbert will be revealed as merely a cardboard fake. They can be easily taken out by any Pikmin type.
