Phantom Snitchbug is a scarpanid in Pikmin 2... Again?. It is a black Swooping Snitchbug under the control of the parasitic Gloomshroom. It acts like a typical scarpanid, flying about in the air and swooping down to grab Pikmin, but will also inflict wither on Pikmin it is holding. When it throws Pikmin to the ground to bury them, the Pikmin will retain their ailment indefinitely until plucked, after which they will steadily recover like normal. Once defeated, the Phantom Snitchbug's appearance returns to normal.
