The Horned Cannon Beetle is a mature, armored lithopod that takes a noticeably long time to inhale and spits out large boulders. While idle, it wanders within a set territory, scanning its surroundings for Pikmin and leaders. Upon noticing them, it will focus on them, and after a moment, start inhaling. After it inhales, it will spit out a massive boulder, which will crush any Pikmin it rolls over, including Rock Pikmin when on hard surfaces. If a Pikmin is thrown into its blowhole while it's inhaling, the Horned Cannon Beetle will being to suffocate, opening its shell to vent heat through the holes in its fleshy backside.
