As you enter the final chapters of the prologue, if you're using Luke you should look over his stats. If he's at or approaching 9 Speed and 33 HP + Defense (for a Myrmidon reclass) or 11 Speed and 30 HP + Defense (for a Mercenary reclass), he's in really good shape. Do your best to push him over one or both of these lines so he can reclass to a sword-wielding infantry class in Chapter 1 and start doubling enemies.
Deploy a ranged unit (Ryan is fine if he has 6 Speed; otherwise, Merric is best) and Caeda. Move the ranged unit two spaces south of the fort, place Caeda and another lance-wielding unit on the two spaces below the ranged unit, and place a sword-wielding unit (preferably Luke) to the ranged unit's left. This will force the enemies to attack you on your terms, with the Fighter and Mercenary facing weapon triangle disadvantage and the Archer facing a counterattack. On turn 2, have Caeda finish the Archer, use the ranged unit to chip the Fighter, and finish the injured Fighter. How you play the rest of the chapter is likely to hinge on what class Kris is. A Cavalier or Pegasus Knight can immediately charge in to dispatch the far Archer, or a bulky Kris can lure the far Fighter and Archer in to be killed on turn 3. Note that Est will not aggro until turn 3, and beware the Cavaliers that spawn in the northwest and southeast corner forts and the Hand Axe Fighter who appears in the northern central fort. It should be noted that the southeast Cavalier reinforcement drops a free Iron Lance. At the end of the chapter, you get Est, who gets one-shotted by enemies in the next chapter and then leaves until Chapter 15.
If you say "Yes" to Katarina's question at the end of the chapter, Kris will wear a headband. This has a purely cosmetic effect, and can be undone at the end of the next chapter if you change your mind.
