The Spin Slash^[1] (スピンスラッシュ, Supin Surasshu^?) is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used by Sonic the Hedgehog where he spins around in a ball maneuver to create a circular shockwave.

When performing the Spin Slash, Sonic rolls into a ball and starts rapidly spinning around the enemy. In the process, he creates a shockwave in the same place he is spinning to surround anyone trapped in the attack. Once he is done, he uncurls and lands in the center of the shockwave as it disappears.

Overview[]

In Sonic Frontiers, the Spin Slash serves as an unlockable Skill that is purchased from the Skills menu for forty Skill Points. It can be activated by pressing // during a combo. It can also be activated by doing and aiming a Drop Dash towards the enemy. Additionally, if the player has the Auto Combo option unlocked and enabled, Sonic will randomly perform the Spin Slash automatically to attack the enemy, but will deal slightly less damage than when done manually.
