— In-Game Description, Sonic Frontiers[1]

Match the colors[1] is an Island Mystery in Sonic Frontiers. It is the second Island Mystery on Ares Island, as well the fourth one overall. Its goal is to match the stone spheres with the indentation of the same color.

Description[]

Match the colors takes place in between the middle and north east regions of Ares Island. The area consists of a crane, as well four different colored sphere stones, alongside 4 indentations corresponding to each color. There is also a structure nearby, with its entrance being blocked until the puzzle is resolved.

As Sonic Frontiers has a day-night cycle, some background elements might differ from player to player.

Story[]

After Sonic and Knuckles would help an unit of Soldiers Kocos and collect six of the Chaos Emeralds, the latter would observe that an ancient machinery was suddenly activated. Calling it a "divine intervation", Sonic would theorize that he would be able to reach the flying Titan if he manages to resolve the puzzle. While Knuckles would advise him that the Titan will easily defeat Sonic without the seventh Chaos Emerald, Sonic informs him that, since the last Titan had the Emerald, he assumes that this Titan would have it as well.

Gameplay[]

In order to start this Island Mystery, the player will have to take control of the crane by pressing a button near it using Square/X button. Once the player would take control of the crane, they will be able to move it using Left-Analog-Stick and grab sphere stones using Cross/A button. Using the crane, the player will have to match the sphere stone with the indentation of the same color.

If the player doesn't correctly grab the sphere stone, it will detach from the crane.
