The Noki Elder's grandson is placed at the start, and there is a tightrope that Mario can walk on to more easily reach the upper area. The main part of the episode takes place in the underwater cavern, where the boss Eely-Mouth is fought.

Objective[]

When Mario begins the episode, he is greeted by the Noki Elder's grandson, who provides him the same helmet that he wore in the previous episode, Red Coins in a Bottle, and tells Mario that the Noki Elder is waiting for him at the top of the mountain. At the top, the Noki Elder informs Mario that Eely-Mouth's cavities are the cause of the polluted water, and he tells Mario to dive into the waterfall to enter the cavern below. However, Mario does not have to dive down the waterfall to enter the underwater cavern, but he can rather swim directly to it at the location where the waterfall pours down to.

Right as Mario enters the underwater cavern, a boss fight against Eely-Mouth begins. Throughout the battle, Eely-Mouth spits poisonous bubbles that gradually float their way to the top. If Mario touches one of these bubbles, he takes damage. If Mario has to recover his health or breath, he can collect the yellow coins lining the crevices of the cavern. Another way for Mario to regain air is by using FLUDD's Hover Nozzle to spray the poisonous bubbles until they pop, revealing air bubbles that can refill Mario's air supply.

As Mario gets closer to Eely-Mouth, it begins to spin and rises up, trying to eat Mario. While Eely-Mouth's mouth is open, Mario has to use FLUDD to spray the dark purple plaque coating his teeth. While Mario sprays Eely-Mouth's teeth, it attempts to suck Mario in. If Eely-Mouth is successful, it shoots Mario up to near the surface. Regardless, after Eely-Mouth attempts to inhale Mario, he closes his mouth and sinks back down. To defeat Eely-Mouth, Mario has to spray all of its teeth clean. In doing so, FLUDD states that one should take proper care of their teeth, a possible fourth wall reference. A gold teeth emerges from Eely-Mouth, and it reveals the Shine Sprite, which spawns from the Water Geyser at the bottom and moves to the ocean floor at the bottom.

In all subsequent episodes after Eely-Mouth's Dentist, the water of Noki Bay is no longer contaminated.
