Jumping Bloopers (also called Jellyfish Bloopers) are jellyfish-like Bloopers that first appear in Super Mario Sunshine. They are a type of Blooper that takes periodic high leaps out of the water.
In Super Mario Sunshine[]
Here, Jumping Bloopers only appear in Ricco Harbor, where they take periodic high leaps out of the water. A Jumping Blooper will damage Mario if he touches one, although whenever a Jumping Blooper jumps out of the water, it can be sprayed with F.L.U.D.D.. Upon being sprayed, the Jumping Blooper turns into a flat platform and descends to the water below. While in this form, Mario can use the platformized Jumping Bloopers as platforms for crossing the inky water, Mario must cross them quickly as the Jumping Bloopers will return to normal after fifteen seconds, Jumping Bloopers are always seen jumping vertically and never horizontally, if Yoshi is to spray a Jumping Blooper, it will turn into a floating platform for him to use, the platform has three methods of movement depending on Yoshi's color (across for Purple Yoshi, up for Pink Yoshi, and for Orange Yoshi, the platform doesn't move).
Trivia[]
- The Jumping Blooper has a similar color to that of the Glad Blooper from Super Princess Peach.
- The Jumping Bloopers strongly resemble the Preying Mantas and Jelectros, two other enemies from the Super Mario series.
