The Shine Gate is a structure in Delfino Plaza that takes the form of a giant gate. It is a large tower where the Shine Sprites gather on Isle Delfino. It has a statue of one Shine Sprite towards the top. According to the citizens of the island, the Shine Gate is the source of all sunshine, which radiates from the tower when the shine sprites around it. On top of the gate is a red Warp Pipe that leads to Pianta Village, only accessible after Mario obtains the Rocket Nozzle, or using a hover from behind, going to the front, and triple-jumping up . The statue of the Shine Sprite was covered in Goop by Shadow Mario. Cleaning it will cause a Shine Sprite to appear far above the gate that can only be collected with the Rocket Nozzle.
