Domino is a minor character of Amphibia. She is the Boonchuy family's pet cat.
Appearance[]
Domino is a small black cat with white paws, six white whiskers on her face, two huge yellow eyes with black pupils, and white fur on her chest. At the end of her tail, she has a splotch of white.
In Season 3, her tail has been changed to just being black and fluffy. Her resemblance is similar to one specific kill-a-moth in its pupa stage, one of the various local wildlife found in Amphibia.
Personality[]
Domino is a cat who likes to play and sleep during the day, like any domestic cat. She is very fond of her human family. Her favorite object for play is a ball of yarn; every time she sees one she is intrigued. Despite this, she at times can get vicious, especially when someone touches her stomach or rudely wakes her up, making her furious and attack.
Background[]
Not much is known about Domino's life prior to being adopted by the Boonchuys, although Anne explains to Sprig that she had found Domino as a stray cat and led her home using a toy mouse. Anne absolutely loves Domino so much that she gives her as much care as possible. Anne also took a picture with her phone of Domino laying on the floor with blue yarn right beside her at one point, which she shows to the Plantar family.
During Anne's stay in Amphibia, Anne adopted a kill-a-pillar, which she dubbed as Domino 2 due to its major resemblance to the original Domino. After Anne and the Plantar family kept Domino 2 long enough, the kill-a-pillar metaporphed into a killing machine that tried to destroy the Plantars. However, Anne was able to redirect it far away using a cat toy.
When Anne returned to Earth with the Plantars, Domino brushed herself against Anne's legs, happy to see her young owner back home after Anne disappeared for five months.
During "The Quarantine Song", she pops her head up after Polly tries to look at a blue jay, which would later result in Polly riding Domino like a horse.
At the start of "Adventures in Catsitting", she acts like any house cat by running around, playing with a fly, etc., then the Plantars have to take care of Domino when getting her to the vet. When they are done with her vet appointment, she escapes while they are talking to the vet. Sprig goes to call Mr. Boonchuy and Hop Pop tries to stop him but fails when Polly kicks him into the cat carrier and find out she's at a shawarma restaurant that she likes.
She nearly got toasted in "Fixing Frobo" when Polly was testing out Frobo.
Mrs. Boonchuy uses her for a magic trick to distract the FBI in "Mr. X".
Domino gets dressed up as Santa Claus in "Froggy Little Christmas".
During "The Hardest Thing", the Guardian takes the form of her and a picture of her appeared on Sprig's wall during the epilogue.
