The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is a domestic intelligence and security service of the United States government and its principal federal law enforcement agency in American soil on Earth. Two of the human agents, Mr. X and Jenny, operated a group within the FBI to find and capture "hostile" extraterrestrials in the form of three Plantar family members, which Anne, with her parents, stopped said group of FBI agents a few times.
Background[]
In 2019 during the events of "Anne-sterminator", two male FBI agents are examining a traffic camera footage of a robot frog attacking a family van with Anne and her parents inside. While one of them zooms in on the footage, he spots the Plantar family in the van and believes them to be "frog aliens". He tells the other agent to call HQ and Mr. X to investigate.
In "Mr. X", the FBI call and send him and his assistant Jenny to Los Angeles and investigate. Jenny contacts them to send in extra agents after Mr. X informs them that they are alien frogs. While driving to Super Cinema 40, Mrs. Boonchuy distracts some of them with a magic trick by pulling Domino out of the hat which amazes them. The other agents arrived at the theater, armed with nets and sticks. Mr. X informs them the group is in the bathroom and have cornered the Plantars and Anne in one of the stalls. However, the power goes out. Mr. X takes out a flashlight to see and only sees regular frogs. The other agents laugh at Mr. X for this situation, but Mr. X and Jenny vow to capture the Plantars.
In "Hollywood Hop Pop", Jenny contacts the FBI after Mr. X sees a commercial that Hop Pop starred in. A squad of them meet up with Mr. X and Jenny at the water tower where they see Hop Pop. However, it turns out the guy they tried to arrest was actually an elderly man named Humphrey Westwood who looked like Hop Pop when Mr. X thought his nose was a false one. When Mitch Harper threatens to sue Mr. X, the agents stand down, believing Mr. X made another false call. The agents take off, leaving Mr. X humiliated once again, who then takes off with Jenny to get some ice cream to get over this.
Sometime later, the FBI begins to realize that Mr. X was right about alien frogs on Earth.
In "Escape to Amphibia", Mr. X and Jenny are at the FBI headquarters where they show their superior photos of the Plantars' recent sightings: The Cloak-Bot attacking them and Anne while in the van, Sprig taking out a museum camera, the commercial Hop Pop starred in, and the giant Santa robot attacking them at the Christmas-Palooza Parade. The FBI director asks him what he know about the alien frogs, though he tells him to not be so coy. He orders him and Jenny to bring them to custody and ask what he needs to get the job done. Mr. X asks for a tricked-out van, thermal tracking equipment, a mobile HQ with cutting edge equipment, and his favorite drink. The director then tells him not to push it and get to it. The FBI track the Plantars and Anne at SpendCo, using one of the store's security cameras by identifying the Plantars' body temperature.
The FBI, Mr. X, and Jenny arrive at Spendco, surround the Plantars and Boonchuys, and Mr. X destroys Hop Pop's human disguise by using his laser watch, exposing him in front of them. Jenny stops the Plantars and Anne from escaping. Mr. X is pleased to meet Anne and explains how she caused him a lot of grief. As they are about to leave, one of the agents asks what to do with Anne and her parents. Mr. X tells him to leave them and then takes off. Mr. X, Jenny, and the FBI take the Plantars to a compound where Mr. X questions them about who they are working for and what their master plan is but gets nothing. When Anne, her parents, and their friends: Ally, Jess, Molly Jo, Humphrey Westwood, Dr. Jan, Terri, and two women from the Thai Community set out to save the Plantars, one of the guards is tricked into letting two women posing as two agents and Humphrey pretending to be another frog alien thanks to Ally and Jess using their hacking stills. However, Mr. X and the FBI lure Anne, her parents, Ally, Jess, Molly, Humphrey, and the Thai women into a trap using the real frogs as revenge for making Mr. X a laughingstock and have them locked up.
Two agents are watching them, and they overhear Anne's speech while watching them and one of them goes into tears until the power goes out thanks to Dr. Jan and Terri stealing one of the generators, which allows Anne, her parents, and their friends out. Anne knocks out the agents and then fights the other agents with a toy lightsaber that Mr. Boonchuy bought while at Spendco. One of the agents runs to the door begging to be let out until Anne knocks him out and tells him the door is unlocked. Anne saves and frees the Plantars after taking care of the doctor and then escapes. Mr. X, Jenny, and the FBI chase after them, but Anne and her friends throw stuff from their van which causes them to crash, but Mr. X manages to put a tracking device on their vehicle.
They arrive at a warehouse where they have them cornered until Anne taps into her Calamity powers and stomps her foot, which blows Mr. X, Jenny, and the agents to the ground. Anne uses her powers to power up the portal where they see Amphibia and a giant praying mantis through it. As the agents are about to capture Anne and the Plantars again, Anne summons the mantis to them which emerges from the portal. When the agents are surprised to see it, one of them believes it would not eat them until it grabs him with its mouth. The agents attack and battle the mantis, which causes Anne and the Plantars to escape through the portal; the mantis then throws the agents off.
Jenny and one of the agents managed to subdue the mantis by firing cables on it and then stunning it, causing the mantis to land on the portal, destroying it. As Mr. X confronts Anne's parents, they fire back at him and tell him they are hoping he's ready to listen and have a lot to talk about. Mr. X knows he's in hot water now.
Sometime later, the FBI learn that Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy were telling the truth about King Andrias invading Earth. The FBI decides to train them to become agents and be prepared for the invasion.
In "All In", when King Andrias, the Core, and their Frobot invasion fleet start invading Los Angeles, the military contacts Mr. X for help. Mr. X, Anne's parents, and Jenny then go out to go deal with the invasion force. During the invasion, the FBI battle the Frobots, but are overwhelmed and take cover. They then witness Anne's battle against King Andrias and cheer after she defeats him. The FBI then cleans up the remains of the Frobot army with the help of the giant herons.
