Synopsis
The episode opens in the zoo, where the PJ Masks stop Munki-gu from scaring the butterflies. With some trouble, they manage to chase him out of the zoo. As Munki-gu flees the scene, he bumps into Night Ninja, who gets an idea upon seeing the trickster monkey.
The following day, the PJs are in the library to research how to deal with Munki-gu. They find a book that tells about The Secret of Monkey Goodness, which is apparently hidden on Mystery Mountain. Greg has second thoughts about changing Munki-gu, since he finds him funny, but Amaya and Connor want to give it a try. So that night, they transform and head for Mystery Mountain, where they show An Yu the map they found. While An Yu tries to find more information about this secret, the PJs use the map to descend into the caves within the mountain.
After dodging several booby traps, the PJs find the hidden room that contains the secret. Here they find a wand. As they exit the cave, they hear Munki-gu in the distance, and head towards it. In the pagoda, An Yu finds the scroll she was looking for, but is shocked by what she reads and hurries to meet the PJs. She arrives just in time to stop Catboy from using the wand on Munki-gu. Munki-gu recognizes the wand as the wand that belonged to the sorcerer who originally turned him to stone, and runs away in fear.
Realizing his error, Catboy wants to return the staff to the cave, but then Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos ambush the group and steal the wand. Night Ninja reveals he knew all along what the wand truly was, and how well it was defended, so he made up the legend of Monkey Goodness to trick the PJs into getting it for him. He tries to turn the PJs to stone, but An Yu’s staff causes him to miss and he petrifies Marvin instead. Gekko breaks free from the sticky splat and frees the others.
An Yu orders the PJs to find Munki-gu, while she will try to learn more about the wand. The PJs find Munki-gu at the foot of the mountain, where they parked the PJ Rovers, and convince him to help them stop Night Ninja. With their powers and Munki-gu's magic pranks, they first chase all the Ninjalinos off the mountain. Then they confront Night Ninja, and try to take the wand from him. Munki-gu manages to disarm Night Ninja, and the wand ends up petrifying Night Ninja himself.
The PJs congratulate Munki-gu for his help, and state he already has goodness in him. Gekko uses the wand to un-petrify Marvin and Night Ninja. The Ninjas retreat. An Yu sends the wand back to its hiding place in the mountain. The PJs and Munki-gu shout their victory cry.
