"Owlette and the Moon-Ball" (also known as "Bibou et le ballon-lune" in French, spelled Owlette and the Moonball in some guides[1]) is the second segment of the 4th Season 1 episode of PJ Masks. SummaryOwlette learns the importance of working with a team when Luna Girl steals the school's soccer ball. CharactersThe following characters appeared in the episode "Owlette and the Moon-Ball": SynopsisThe episode starts off with the kids playing soccer. When Cameron’s team sees that Amaya is also playing, they laugh at her, Cameron saying that she’s not good at it. This does not bother her; once the game starts, she skillfully steals the ball and dodges the other players. Despite Connor and Greg telling her to pass it to either one of them, she claims she can score herself. The ball, however, ends up missing the goal and going into the trees. The boys scold her while the other kids make fun of her. Connor, Amaya, and Greg go into the forest to retrieve the ball so Amaya can try again. Suddenly, just as they find it behind the bushes, a huge white ball comes in and takes it. The kids unsuccessfully try to follow it as it takes a few more things before bouncing away. A group of moths fly by, meaning that Luna Girl must be responsible. That night at headquarters, Catboy slips on a furball while approaching the PJ Picture Player. After Gekko helps him up, the two think about either taking the Cat-Car or the Owl-Glider as options to approach Luna Girl. Meanwhile, Owlette uses the furball to play soccer to show them how good she is at it. It bounces around the place until it hits Gekko’s symbol icon on the Picture Player. The PJ Masks decide to take the Gekko-Mobile since it is selected. Upon driving into town, the huge white ball appears from behind and chases the team around, sucking up more objects in its path. They manage to take cover on the side of the buildings through the Gekko-Mobile’s grip feature, then follow it when it enters the park where Luna Girl is located. Releasing all the stolen toys for a brief moment, she reveals the ball to be her Moon-Ball. She is using it to steal all of the daytime toys so she can have them all to herself. Additionally, she plans to trap the team with it as she is expecting them to stop her. Luna Girl releases the ball from her Luna Magnet to capture the team. Gekko is cornered trying to avoid it, but Catboy saves him by kicking it away. Owlette kicks the ball into a space between a tree and a pole. The team is initially surprised that they didn’t get sucked in until realizing that hitting the ball would prevent it from doing so. Owlette describes it as a giant soccer ball, which means she can prove to everyone that she is good at soccer. Owlette kicks the Moon-Ball away to play soccer as Luna Girl tries to retrieve it. Catboy and Gekko move out of the way when it heads towards them a couple of times. Catboy Super Cat Jumps over it, only to land on it and roll it around. Luna Girl uses her Luna Magnet to play with the ball with him on top for a few moments before flying to the playground to collect its equipment. He lands on top of Owlette and Gekko, who have crashed into each other while trying to catch him. Owlette flies over to the playground, ignoring that the team has to work together. She kicks the ball at a certain distance where it is released from the Luna Magnet’s beam before Luna Girl could take the merry-go-round, causing her to fall down on it. She unsuccessfully fires Luna Beams at her as she spins her around. Catboy and Gekko eventually catch up, the latter stomping on the ground using his Super Gekko Muscles to stop the equipment from spinning. Luna Girl flies around almost every playground equipment before landing next to her Moon-Ball. Just as the team decides to destroy the Moon-Ball to prevent Luna Girl from stealing anything else, Owlette plays soccer with it again to show them her moves, ignoring the request to pass it to them. She kicks it between two lampposts acting like a soccer goal. However, it bounces off towards her, and she gets sucked in. Luna Girl flies off with her in it into town and shakes her around. Catboy is later able to rescue her by Super Cat Jumping on the Luna Board and shaking the villainess around, causing her to lose her grasp on the ball. He flings her away to another part of the town. Gekko catches the Moon-Ball, and he and Catboy hide with it in an alleyway. Owlette apologizes about showing off; she wanted to prove how good she is at soccer. They assure her that she is, and she can prove herself to be better if she works with them, because they are a team, and soccer is all about teamwork. They can do so by working together to get her out. Taking up Gekko’s suggestion to pop the Moon-Ball with something huge and pointy, Owlette considers the flagpole at the museum. Gekko rolls the ball towards the location with Catboy as a guide and lookout. The team doesn’t get too far, though; Gekko accidentally bumps the Moon-Ball into a lamppost, causing it to flicker. Luna Girl, who is searching for them, notices it, and flies over to their location to grab the ball. Catboy and Gekko struggle with pushing it away as the Luna Magnet’s beam is too powerful. Therefore, the team combines Catboy’s Super Cat Speed, Gekko’s Super Gekko Muscles, and Owlette’s Owl Wing Wind together to overpower its strength. Luna Girl throws her Luna Magnet away in frustration. As soon as the team reaches the museum, Gekko grabs the flagpole. Catboy and Owlette push the Moon-Ball towards it, and it pops; Owlette and all the stolen toys are freed. She uses the Luna Magnet, which has landed on the fountain, to place all the scattered toys into a pile. However, Luna Girl is furious as when she caught up with the team, she witnessed them bursting her Moon-Ball, and now has to witness them collecting and placing back what she had stolen. Gekko offers Luna Girl the kids’ soccer ball as compensation, which doesn’t interest her at first, but soon warms up to it when she starts playing with it. This will give the PJ Masks a chance to return all the toys. Owlette leaves the Luna Magnet on the fountain for her to collect later on. They whisper the signature victory phrase. The next day, the kids are back at the soccer field for another game of soccer. Cameron teases Amaya for playing again. She, Connor, and Greg gain the upper hand as they approach the goal. Connor encourages her to shoot, but she passes the ball to Greg instead since he is closer. He shoots, although the ball bounces off the post. It eventually enters the goal when it bounces off Cameron taking cover. The kids commend him on a great shot and being a great soccer player. Everyone laughs together as the episode ends.
