SynopsisThe episode begins with Connor, Amaya, and Greg marching to school for Pirate Day. Connor is not excited, though, because he would be the ship’s cat again from last time. Amaya and Greg cheer him up by telling him he can play as Catboy the Brave. They arrive at the school, but they receive the news that Pirate Day is cancelled because the pirate flags were stolen last night. Later that night, the PJ Masks check the PJ Picture Player to see that Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos had stolen them. With support from his teammates, Catboy is encouraged to lead the PJ Masks on the mission and is determined to prove his worth as a pirate. The PJ Masks take off in the Owl-Glider. While Catboy attempts to be on the lookout, only to spot a bird, Owlette spots with her Owl Eyes an air balloon. Suddenly, the Ninjalinos come flying in on their motorboats and sticky splat the Owl-Glider’s windshield. They catch up with the air balloon, where Night Ninja is located, and together, they fly over to the Sky Factory to take it over. As they board, Romeo and Robot come out and try to stop the ninjas, only for them to get sticky-splatted. One of the Ninjalinos uses his Ninja Fingers to stick them to the air balloon, and let the aircraft drift away. Romeo spots the PJ Masks and demands them to save him and Robot and stop Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos from messing with his factory, especially since he sees that they are collecting clouds for something bad. Owlette and Gekko plan to wait at a distance and see what the ninjas are doing, but Catboy wants to jump in and catch them instantly. Romeo agrees with his plan, as it would be faster, and Robot pushes the team’s vehicle to the factory. Two of the Ninjalinos come out with their sticky splats. As Owlette grabs the projectiles from one of the Ninjalinos, Catboy lassoes the other Ninjalino up with his Super Cat Stripes, though he struggles to hold him down. Owlette and Gekko run up to him, and Gekko offers to help out, but he refuses. Suddenly, the PJ Masks are sucked in the factory, where a new machine is installed. Night Ninja is catching the clouds and stuffing them in there, then puffing them up with mountain splat to make sticky splat clouds so they can rain splat all over the town. Owlette and Gekko complain to Catboy about how he is trying to prove himself. Despite him taking the lead, they remind him that they can help out as well. That being said, Owlette and Gekko plan to use Gekko’s Super Gekko Muscles to destroy the pressure chamber on the machine. Catboy gets another idea, however. He runs over to the hose and attempts to splat the ninjas with the sticky splat clouds. When he opens it, though, the pressure in the cylindrical chamber builds up. It explodes, and the team is sent up and out of the factory stuck in a sticky splat cloud. Catboy is ashamed of himself; he hasn’t proved himself to be great throughout the mission. Owlette and Gekko assure him that he is, and that he doesn’t need to do it by himself. Since the sky is Owlette’s thing and Gekko has his muscles, they can all complete the mission together, and they have to do it soon, because according to Romeo, the factory will explode if it sucks up too much clouds. Owlette comes up with a plan to get the team unsplatted. She has Robot push their cloud to the factory, then gets the Ninjalinos’ attention by loudly conversing with Catboy that they will be back on the structure, hoping that the Ninjalinos won’t zap them away using the mounted ray, though claiming they won’t be able to. Angered by the statement, the Ninjalinos fire the ray, and they retreat once the PJ Masks are free. Catboy realizes that his friends are right: he should have listened to them earlier, as a pirate would be nothing without a crew. Catboy and Gekko sneak inside the factory. Using his Super Gekko Camouflage, Gekko moves Romeo’s lab to make Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos think there is a ghost, while Catboy fires the mountain splat at them once they are distracted. The Ninjalinos get pinned down but Night Ninja dodges it, only to be caught by Gekko, who sticks him onto one of the splats. He then throws the splat cloud machine out of the factory, and Owlette uses the Owl-Glider to throw it into space before it explodes. Romeo and Robot suddenly arrive, now freed from the sticky splats. Romeo fires a ray at the trapped ninjas, and he sends them falling out of the factory. As the villains try to find a way to safely land, Catboy and Gekko jump after them. Working together, everyone grabs each other, and Owlette safely takes them to the ground. Night Ninja is angry that his plan is foiled, though. He and the Ninjalinos jump away, vowing to get the team next time, while a Ninjalino thanks them for saving them before taking off as well. Romeo and Robot also drop the stolen pirate flags the ninjas had with them earlier. The team forgives Catboy for what happened earlier, knowing that he just wanted to be a great pirate. Catching the pirate flags, they declare to take them back to the school, and shout out their signature victory phrase. Moral/Lesson
