"Crocodile Mario" is the fiftieth animated episode of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. It is paired with the live-action segment "Rowdy Roddy's Rotten Pipes."

Plot[]

Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool and Toad arrive in Down Under Land in search of a Magic Statue that could help ward off King Koopa. However, as soon as they arrive, Kangaroo Koopa (King Koopa's alias during the episode) arrives and steals the magic statue (which looks like an animated version of Paul Hogan in his Crocodile Dundee character). With the magic statue gone, the crocodiles of the area start attacking the city. Mario and Luigi manage to fight off one crocodile but there are several more. The Princess, Toad and the rest of the inhabitants of the city are forced onto the roof of the General Store while the Mario Brothers have to fight off the rest of the crocodiles.

Outnumbered, the Marios use a plunger as a pogo stick and leap away to the swamp to find Kangaroo Koopa, which they must do soon because the crocodiles are slowly chewing the General Store away. Finding a raft, the Marios go down the river but are soon attacked by a group of Birdoroos. Unfortunately, Kangaroo Koopa notices the Mario Brothers coming and has his Koopa Troopas throw boomerangs at them. To make matters worse, Mario and Luigi are heading straight for some rapids. They crash but Mario manages to get himself and his brother to shore.

Back in the city, the crocodiles have nearly chewed the general store away, forcing the refugees to hide on a tree. Of course, the crocodiles start chewing on that too.

The Marios are in trouble, as they have no way of finding Kangaroo Koopa. Fortunately, they spot a herd of crocodiles running from something. Mario deduces that the crocodiles are running from the magic statue and they follow the crocodile tracks to Kangaroo Koopa. Unfortunately, when they take the statue, Luigi trips and alerts him to their presence. The Marios play "Koopa in the Middle" and keep the statue away from Kangaroo Koopa.

At last, the statue is brought back to the town and given to the Princess. The Princess replaces the statue on its pedestal and it scares off the crocodiles. Unfortunately for Kangaroo Koopa he happens to be in their way and is chased off. With Kangaroo Koopa gone and the Town saved, Mario wants to throw "a pizza on the barbie."
