"Baby Mario Love" is the twenty-sixth live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. It is paired with the animated episode "Koopenstein."

Plot[]

After taking Ratigator out for a walk, Mario complains about how dull his and Lugis' lives are. Luigi tells him that you never know when glamour will knock at your door and Susanna Ross "the Queen of glitz and glamor" is there. She reminds the Marios that the promised to help her if there was an emergency. The emergency that has popped up is that her band has missed its plane and she needs to go on in an hour. She recruits the Marios to be her band in spite of the fact that they can't sing.

The Marios dress up in flashy dresses and the trio starts on a performance of "Baby Love" with only Susanna Ross singing. Things are okay at first in spite of the Marios starting to fight for a short time. However, Luigi decides that it just won't work because his dress clashes with his legs.

Trivia/Goofs[]

  • The live action segment was not included in the DVD release of the show, probably due to legal issues with its contents (i.e. involving Diana Ross).
  • This segment actually has a featured song: "Baby Love" by Diana Ross.
