“ | A Mizutsune so mighty, it was crowned an Apex. It is eternally possessed by wrath and terror, possibly due to the myriad wounds that cover its body. Its bubbles and huge tail have no trouble sending foes packing.. The call of an Apex unleashes its tortured anger on nearby beasts, driving them into a frenzy. | „ | |
Apex Mizutsune are an Apex Variant of Mizutsune introduced in Monster Hunter Rise.
Physiology[]
All Apex Mizutsune are male and the females are not seen. He is similar to a frenzied Mizutsune, with a darker tone and wounds all over his body. However, he has multiple differences, including his arm fur being purple and his torso and tail being a deep blue. When enraged, the crests on his head and back get redder.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Apex Mizutsune are extremely aggressive and will attack on sight. It will use bubbles like a normal Mizutsune, but these bubbles will have hellfire in them, like the hellfire on Magnamalo. The bubbles will act similarly to the bubbles a Soulseer Mizutsune uses.
When enraged, it will use a big tail uppercut and a Soulseer-like move where it makes bubbles that orbit the apex as it shoots a water jet in a spiral pattern.
When appearing in rampage mode, Apex Mizutsune gains the ability of using bubble which inflict blastblight as part of its "gate breaking" move.
Like its counterparts, Apex Mizutsune has a rivalry with Apex Zinogre.
