Super Mario Mario Party

Pom Pom is a character who first appears in Super Mario 3D Land. She is the female counterpart of Boom Boom.

Profile[]

Physical description[]

Pom Pom has pinkish skin, a ponytail, and a polka dotted shell. Like Boom Boom her feet are clawed and padded, but the pads are not white but are pink. Pom Pom has shorter arms than Boom Boom's.

Attacks[]

  • Boomerang Blitz: Pom Pom starts throwing boomerangs continually until becoming hit.
  • Shell Stomp: Pom Pom retreats into her shell and starts stomping on the floor, trying to home on Mario.
  • Shuriken Throw: Pom Pom starts to throw ninja stars at Mario.
  • Koopaninja Clone Concealment: Pom Pom vanishes in a smoke puff and reappears after being cloned. Mario has to figure out who is the real Pom Pom, and it is the one who is holding a pink star.
  • Zone Change: This power is not seen very much, but Pom Pom changes the zone in World 3, while at World Bowser, Pom Pom's zone turns into pink.
  • Confusion Justsu: She always make the enemy with her clones and shuriken.

In Super Mario series[]

Super Mario 3D Land[]

Mario battles Pom Pom in the airship levels of World 4, 6, and 7 each. It is in a pink room where she is battled, in world six, she has fire in her room. Her last battle is alongside the Boom Boom. She throws a maximum of two boomerangs. When she is defeated by jumping on her three times, she releases several coins, like Boom Boom.

Super Mario 3D World[]

Pom Pom returns as a boss. Her attacks involve throwing Ninja stars and duplicating herself as a Ninja. She and Boom Boom have ninja attacks combined with their abilities in the sequel of Super Mario 3D Land.

Super Mario Maker 2[]

Pom Pom only appears in the Super Mario 3D World setting. She attacks by making duplicates and throwing ninja stars at the players.

In Super Mario Party[]

Pom Pom is an unlockable playable character, and it is her first appearance in a Mario Party series installment, let alone as a playable character. Despite this, Boom Boom does not appear alongside her. Pom Pom can be unlocked by completing Salty Sea, the fifth world of Challenge Road.

Pom Pom's personal Dice Block has a "3" on four sides, a "0" on one side, and an "8" on one side.
