Call of Duty: Modern Warfare[]
Mil-Sim (Military Simulation) are default Operators for the Coalition and Allegiance factions featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. Originally named Default, the operators were renamed "Mil-Sim" with the release of specific skins for the Coalition default operators during the Season Three update.
When the Default skin for Mil-Sim is selected, their appearance will change depending on the class of their primary weapon - though the Riot Shield no longer has a unique character; the Assault Rifle model is used instead.

Trivia[]
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare[]
- Both factions' default uniforms will change depending on the environment - Coalition Mil-Sim SAS will wear woodland (DPM) camouflage in temperate maps or USMC style desert digital fatigues on arid levels. The Allegiance Mil-Sim gorka suits have a green coloration for temperate settings, and a khaki coloration for the desert maps.
- The default Allegiance Mil-Sim Operator bears the Cyrillic letters СФБ, which may be a misspelling of ФСБ (FSB), the Russian Federal Security Service.
- An unused variant of the U.S. Expeditionary Force skin could be seen within the C-130 in Call of Duty: Warzone.
- The default Coalition Mil-Sim operators may sometimes wear a balaclava.
- Sometimes, the default Allegiance sniper and LMG Mil-Sim may appear without their viper hoods and helmets respectively.
- The USMC Raider Mil-Sim skin closely resembles Sandman from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
- The Pararescue I Mil-Sim skin has NVGs on its helmet in-game, contrary to its portrait.
- The Frogman UDT Mil-Sim skin closely resembles Worm.
- During the Alpha, there was an unused version which had the features of the default Allegiance Sniper Mil-Sim and the default Coalition Assault Mil-Sim.
- American Mil-Sim operators were formerly known as "US Fireteam". They've been renamed to "US Mil-Spec".
- The Venerated skin closely resembles the American soldier on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 cover.
- The skin was created in partnership with US veteran Florent Groberg for Call of Duty Endowment.
Call of Duty: Mobile[]
- The Brute and Dark Covenant Brute Mil-Sim skins are based on Federal Security Service soldiers from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
- The Special Warfare, Trench Dropper, and Crash Down Mil-Sim skins are based on the SEAL character from Blackout.
- They use male voice lines, unlike the original character who is female.
- The Astronaut skin is based on USAF specialists regarding the ODIN space station in the mission Ghost Stories from Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II[]
- Originally, the SpecGru and KorTac Mil-Sim operators were named after their respective default skins, Rangers I and KorTac Group I. After the release of Season Five, both operators had their names changed to their respective faction's names.
- In Warzone Mobile, the SpecGru and KorTac operators are still respectively named Rangers I and KorTac Group I.
- The SpecGru Mil-Sim operator originally had another skin planned for him, the "Dirty Job" skin, this particular skin was only available for preview when the Season Two update of Modern Warfare II came out.[1]
- Similarly, the KorTac Mil-Sim operator originally had another skin planned for him, the "Heavyweight" skin, this skin takes heavy inspiration from the Rhinoceros boss in the DMZ mode.[2]
- The image for the "Militant" skin for KorTac Mil-Sim is noticeably disoriented on the area around goggles.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0[]
- The Intro Cinematics for the Urzikstan map and Fortune's Keep featured the Shadow Company I, II, and III Mil-Sim operators from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. They were later removed following the release of Season Three.
