Gideon Couteaux is a character mentioned in the Call of Duty: Mobile Comics. He is the founder of The Tontine.
Biography[]
Gideon Couteaux was once a member of the Knights Templar, having participated in the Crusades. Sometime during the middle ages, Gideon left the Knights Templar and founded The Tontine. He was described as the mightiest and most devout member of the Tontine to have ever lived. However, years later he was betrayed by his fellow knights out of jealousy and fear. He ultimately decided to flee from The Tontine alongside his wife and children, as well as brining his legendary armor with him to the French Alps.
After he left the Tontine, his descendants would be hunted for centuries after his death, including Sophia Couteau and Édouard "Templar" Couteau.
