Like the other Gauntlet bosses, this enemy starts out weak but becomes increasingly powerful with each stage. He has a rather slow attack rate, but has very long range and very high damage to make up for the delay and can slow any units that survive his powerful attacks. Additionally, his lack of backswing combined with his damage and range allows him to push forward easily.
A secret lab used unethical genome editing to create a superior Le'noir, unparalleled in size and aggression and with Slowing attacks. Lethality increases with each battle.
The top-secret technology of the Ancient Laboratory allowed Matsu Kurozō to be reborn as a Super-Lifeform via genome remodeling. Now gigantified, he's gone on a rampage and gained the ability to slow movement. Becomes more ferocious with each battle.

His Japanese name, Giant Kurozō, comes from Le'noir's Japanese name, Matsu Kurozō, itself derived from the words kuro, meaning "black", and zō, which can mean "to stock up on" or "to hide/conceal", both of which match Le'noir's description quite well; and when spelled with the kanji 象, zō also means "elephant". Matsu is just a surname.
In the French version, Le'Grim is known by two separate names. In the Enemy Dictionary and event poster, he is known as Le'Grim, just like in the English version. However, he is also known as Éléphunèbre in the French name of his gauntlet and his Meow Medal.
