Bore

Bore (イノシャシ, Inoshashi, Shy Bore) is a Red enemy that appears in Into the Future, Cats of the Cosmos, and Legend Stages.

Enemy[]

Bore has considerably high health and moderate attack damage which is coupled with a quick attack animation and rate. All in all, he's basically a powerful successor of One Horn with more range and much more movement speed.

Strategy[]

Bore is able to push easily, so a strong front line is necessary. Use three or four meatshields and hold the front line while your other cats destroy him.

In his first few appearances, this enemy can be somewhat difficult to stall without anti-Red units who inflict status effects. These include but are not limited to: Pirate Cat for knockback, Witch Cat for slowing and Apple Cat or Evil Cat for freezing. Thaumaturge Cat can also be used to weaken Bore. The use of such units, alongside proper meatshields, will make Bore manageable.

Later on, a way of beating him without any crowd-controllers is to spam anti-Red attackers such as talented Dark Lazer, Island Cat, Crazed Whale Cat, preferably with Cat Combos like Seasons of Love and Three Kings. Provided your cats are sufficiently leveled and Bore isn't too buffed, this will quickly diminish his health down to nothing. That being said, this strategy becomes less and less effective in later Bore appearances, where his magnification can reach or exceed 400%, dealing too much damage for said attackers to handle.

As with the majority of red enemies, if you spawn two iCats in such a way that they alternate their attacks, Bore can be completely paralyzed, allowing you to whittle him down easily as long as the iCats are not killed.

Roe Cat, and in 4 crowns, talented Ultimate Bondage Cat, can be used with great effect against Bore, being able to both weaken it and use its resistant ability to stop Bore from doing too much damage to other units. However, be wary of other enemies of other traits which may kill Roe Cat and allow Bore to push, such as R.Ost in Realm of Carnage.

Nimoy Bore		Alien variant of Bore. Inferior speed, attack rate and base health but has a 50% chance to knockback Cat Units.
Boraphim		Angel variant of Bore. Much stronger and moves significantly faster, but has 5 knockbacks as opposed to the usual 2 on most others.
Razorback		Black variant of Bore. Has extremely high health, speed and DPS, while strengthening by 50% at 50% health
Dread Bore		Zombie variant of Bore. Stats are similar to Bore's except for speed, which is slightly lower than Boraphim's. It has a long burrow distance among Zombies, and revives once with 50% HP.
Li'l Bore		A smaller, much weaker variant of Bore found in You Nears! 2019 and Most Appearances 2020. Can be easily defeated.
Bore Jr.		Traitless variant of Bore. Relatively fragile, but deals extremely high damage and creates Lv.5 Mini-Waves with his attacks.

• Bore's Japanese name, Shy Bore can be associated with Shy Boy, who is also a short-ranged Red enemy with fast attacks and movement and two knockbacks.
