Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor is the main antagonist of the 2009 DC animated movie Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.
After an economic recession caused him to be elected president, Lex Luthor would face the challenge of a meteor heading towards the Earth. He is also the arch-nemesis of Superman.
He was voiced by Clancy Brown, who also played The Kurgan in Highlander, Baron Praxis in Jak II, Silas in Transformers: Prime, the Evil Entity in Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated, and Bloodwolf in The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He orders Major Force to kill Metallo and then uses his death to frame Superman and place a massive bounty on him.
- When he fails to stop the meteor, he decides to let it crash on Earth so he can rebuild and rule over whatever is left, not caring how many people die in the process.
- Forcefully kisses Amanda Waller.
- Actively attempts to stop Superman and Batman from stopping the meteor, first by deleting the files they need and then actively trying to stop the rocket they were going to use.
- He does actually do a decent job as president and did initially try to stop the meteor from hitting Earth. But this is explicitly pointed out by other characters like Amanda Waller and Captain Atom that he is only doing this to stroke his own ego and to take all the credit, making him doing this pragmatically instead of genuine in any way. He also lost all semblance of this when he tried to let the meteor hit Earth and actively stopped the heroes from doing it.
- He subverts any care he may have had for Amanda when he called her a "b*tch" after discovering she had betrayed him.
