James Gordon, Jr. is the legitimate son of Commissioner James Gordon and the older brother of Barbara Gordon. He is a murderous psychopath who has shown signs of being disturbed since his youth. He serves as the main antagonist of Batman: The Black Mirror.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Even from an early age, he showed signs of psychopathy, such as slicing open birds to see where they kept their eggs.
  • He would commit other horrid acts during his youth, such as:
    • Nearly torturing some boys to death for making fun of him.
    • Burning Wayne J.R.C. and nearly killing everyone inside.
    • Mutilating a former bus driver's face in an alley with a Boxcutter causing her face to be disfigured.
  • He would later kill his sister's friend Bess and take her Keychain for himself just because she made an off-hand comment about him.
  • After leaving Gotham, he would go on a cross-country killing spree, where he took pleasure in torturing hundreds of people and killing them, taking their Keychain as trophies.
  • While he was given an experimental drug that allowed him to feel empathy for other people, he rejected the notion of empathy as a weakness and messed with his medication to make himself even more of a psychopath.
  • He paid some kids to free birds from the aviary to trick his dad into accusing him so that he could claim he had nothing to do with it, therefore gaslighting his dad into thinking he was innocent.
  • He feigned remorse for his past actions toward his dad and claimed that he had changed, and all he wanted was to work at Leslie Tompikin's hospital. He just wanted his dad to put in a good word for him.
  • He took advantage of his position to give the altered medication to hundreds, if not thousands, of infants to corrupt them into psychopaths like him so he could usher in a new age of Gotham.
    • Even worse is that it is implied that he succeeded in his plan and that the children were all corrupted by him.
  • He tortured his childhood bully in his own home, sawing off all of his limbs, one of his eyes, and his jaw, yet keeping him alive throughout the entire experience.
  • He slips Joker some Joker Venom in Arkham Asylum, allowing him to kill all the guards and escape.
  • He infects his own mother with Joker Venom, which nearly kills her and puts her in critical condition.
  • He kidnaps his sister Barbara Gordon and stabs her legs with two knives, ensuring that when he pulls them out, she will slowly bleed to death.
  • He revealed to Dick Grayson his ultimate plan to break his spirit by corrupting all of Gotham's children and then killing his sister and father just to break Dick Grayson further so that he would give up being Batman.
  • He attempts to murder his sister with a knife after she stabs him in the eye, taunting her while hunting her down.
  • While there are many serial killers in the DC universe, James stands out due to the brutal torture he puts his victims through before he kills them and his unique act of trying to corrupt hundreds, if not thousands, of children.
