“ Still, I believe good manners dictate that we should send out the welcome wagon. „
~ Dr. Arliss Loveless
“ I believe in taking care of myself, in a balanced diet, in a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the icepack, I use a deep pore-cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water-activated gel cleanser, then a honey-almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb mint facial masque which I leave on for ten minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after-shave lotion with little or no alcohol because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing "protective" lotion... „
~ Patrick Bateman describing his morning routine.

Pure Evils who are mannerly and cultivated. Often because villains almost all the time have the ability to outsmart their opponents. Though there are other reasons; they come from a wealthy family, have certain traditions that make them this way, talked with people who had high social status, are in a position of power, the list goes on. These villains generally act polite around others. In addition to Faux Affably Evil, these types of villains often fall under Charismatic and Master Manipulators.

These types of villains are the opposite to barbarians who are excessively aggressive and lacks civility, although some can be both if they act polite and are violent at the same time (e.g. Brian Irons, Dick Hardly, Ajax, and Joker DC). They are also the opposite of their heroic counterpart.

Also note that not every PE villain has to be considered sophisticated or barbarian, since some of them are neither very savage nor very mannerly (e.g Willy Weasel and Mr. Whiskers).
