Twirlips are an enemy featured in Super Mario Galaxy 2. At first, a Twirlip appears to be in the shape of an onion, but upon being approached the Twirlip opens up, revealing a flower with four pink petals and a large yellow center. It spins around the area, attempting to attack Mario or Luigi. In either form, a Twirlip can be defeated from being jumped on, but while in its onion-shaped form, a Twirlip can be defeated from any other attack.
