“ | Dart the pirate is not such a small man! Being rich is boring! My dream is this: I want to find that treasure, hide it again, make a map that leads to it, and pass out a few copies all over the world!! | ” | — Dart to Farina |

Dart (Japanese: ダーツ Darts) is a character in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. He is one of Fargus' pirates, but likely is also Rebecca's brother Dan, who went missing after he and Wil left Pherae.
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
Role
Pre-game
Dart likely grew up in a village in Pherae, Lycia, with his younger sister Rebecca, his father, a local magistrate, and an unknown mother. At that time, he was known as Dan. Five years before the events of The Blazing Blade, Dan and his neighbor Wil left home in search of fortune. The two were split up after a fight, and Dan disappeared. Soon after, Dart was found amnesiac on the coast by Fargus. Remembering only that his name began with "Da", Fargus named the man Dart, and trained him to be part of his crew. Over their years together, Dart became Fargus's right-hand man, and head of his "Suicide Squad".
In-game
When Eliwood and his companions seek passage to the Dread Isle, Fargus tests them in battle, during which time Dart stands with his squad near the arena. With the test passed, the pirates allow Eliwood passage to Valor. Dart is unable to help when the Black Fang attack the ship, due to needing to fix the hole the assassins put in the boat. Upon arriving on Valor, Dart chooses to join Eliwood in his travels. While Fargus is annoyed, he accepts Dart's resignation.
Post-game
After the events of the game, Dart returns to life as a pirate under Fargus. His solo ending states that Dart took a grave wound defending his captain, and was lost to the sea. However, true to form for Dart, some say that his innate sturdiness allowed him to survive, and he lives on somewhere in Pherae. He also has a possible paired ending with Farina, which involves her joining him as a pirate. His possible death is not mentioned in that paired ending.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Dart comes with fairly unimpressive bases in every area besides HP and strength, and because of his use of axes and low skill, he will have shaky hit rates in his joining chapter, and because of his average speed he will be unable to double most enemies. He can walk in water, but said ability isn't incredibly useful. Thanks to his growths Dart will likely be able to one round most enemies after being trained up, however it's somewhat hard to promote him as the Ocean Seal is hidden in the sand in chapters 22/23, which can be annoying to get while also trying to gain enough EXP to get the gaiden chapter. It is also twice as expensive than the other promotion items, so it hurts the funds rankings more and can be sold for more. Dart will eventually grow into a strong unit, however he requires some notable investment, and the low enemy quality means that most mounted units and prepromotes can do almost as well.
Personality
This section has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information.
Dart has a blunt and sometimes rude manner of speaking, but he also has a sense of propriety when it comes to women, as demonstrated most clearly when Fargus's crew found the barely-conscious and amnesiac Ninian adrift on the sea near Valor: He bluntly insisted that Lyn handle Ninian, because he didn't know how.[2] He also disliked it when Hector called him a "gentleman" for it.[3]
Although he has spent many years at sea, he sometimes likes to "raise some trouble on land,"[4] and he found that Eliwood's mission to stop Nergal was a good reason to do so.

Endings
Dart, Badon's Commando
Dart took a grave wound protecting Fargus in a skirmish. He vanished at sea, but rumors claim he might be in Pherae.
Dart and Farina
Farina's love for Dart compelled her to stay in Lycia. She visited Badon often and flirted with Dart at every chance. He never knew how serious she was when she told him that a female pirate would be quite profitable!
