“ | Are you referring to my relationship with the "gods"? Are you still held in thrall of such a concept? You've met Lord Nergal, haven't you? Then there is something you must know. Gods are lies created by the weakness in all mankind. ...If a god truly exists, then it is my lord Nergal. Only him. | ” | — Kenneth |

Kenneth (Japanese: ケネス Kenneth) is a Black Fang commander hired to guard an ancient castle, and one of two potential bosses of Chapter 25 (Ch.27H) of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade; Kenneth is the boss should the player's possible Guiding Ring users be stronger than the player's potential Hero Crest users. Kenneth and his squad are deployed in an effort to stall Eliwood, Hector, Lyn, and their army for time in an effort to ensure Prince Zephiel's assassination goes off without a hitch as well as protect the stolen Fire Emblem, but ultimately fails and is defeated. Regardless of whether he is even fought by the player, Kenneth dies some time after the player army embarks toward Zephiel's side, and his quintessence is harvested offscreen.
Kenneth is one of the bosses remanifested as morphs by Nergal in the Final Chapter; his morph is paired with a generic Sage morph and a generic Druid morph, the latter of which drops Gespenst, in the northwestern room, the second one opened; the player's army eventually defeat Kenneth's morph as well as all of the other remanifested morphs in their quest to defeat Nergal.
