Pass is a skill that debuted in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
Overview[]
In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Pass allowed units to pass through enemy-occupied spaces. It takes up 15 skill capacity. Heather is the only character who has this Skill by default, although a Pass scroll can be obtained from the base conversation: Jill in chapter 1-9.
Pass returns in Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates, where it retains its original effect. It is learned by Assassins at level 15 in the former and by Adventurers in the latter.
After its absence in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Pass returns in Fire Emblem: Three Houses as an ability unlocked from Bernadetta and Anna's Budding Talent in Riding, functioning the same as its previous iterations. Pass also appears frequently on enemy Thieves and Assassins.
While Claude does not get access to Pass, his personal ability after the timeskip gives him the same effect as Pass, in addition to gaining more experience points than usual.
In the Warriors titles, Pass has nothing to do with passing through enemy units due to the radically different gameplay. It appears in Fire Emblem Warriors as a skill unique to Lyn that can be earned from her Skill Board. It prevents enemies from interrupting her movement. Pass later returns in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as a class ability exclusive to Assassins and Tricksters. In this title, Pass has nothing to do with movement, and instead makes it easier to perform a Perfect Guard.
Pass appears in Fire Emblem Heroes as a type B passive skill. Unlike in earlier games, the user needs to have a certain amount of HP left to be able to use it. It can be learned without inheriting by: Cordelia, Fir and Gaius*.
