Hey, There's Something There (なんかいるじゃんよ Nanka Iru jan yo?) is the hundred sixty-seventh chapter of the Dandadan manga series.
Summary[]
Upon being noticed, the enigmatic small figure swiftly vanishes from Momo's view, leading Momo to alert Okarun and urge him to pursue it, believing it to be a diminutive elderly man. While Okarun is convinced that she saw the well-known cryptid often referred to as the "old man," Momo is of the opinion that it was either a fairy or the same old man frequently reported by celebrities, which might be connected to her condition. Once the bell indicates the end of their break, Momo informs Okarun of her decision to remain in the library to search for the old man. Okarun, Aira, and Jiji express their concerns about leaving her alone, but Momo reassures them that she will be fine on her own. As the group make their leave, Momo becomes happy to have her friends' support and hopes that she can return to normal soon.
During gym class, Kinta invites Okarun to be his partner for physical fitness, believing he can outdo Okarun based on his less-than-stellar 50-meter dash time from junior high. Yet, he quickly consents to Hase teaming up with Okarun instead, as the latter becomes eager to run against him. Despite believing that Hase would surpass him after his partner tells him about his 50-meter track time of 6 seconds, Okarun unexpectedly exceeds Hase's performance, finishing with a time of 5.8 seconds. Okarun soon finds himself exceling in the other physical activities, catching the gym teacher's attention who then recommends that he try out for the baseball team. Unaware of the lengths he had to go through to overcome previous challenges, Okarun wonders how he has become so fit without possessing Turbo Granny's power.
