Hase (ハセー) is a student at Kami High who is a bully to Okarun in Class C. He serves as a background character in the Kintama Hunt Saga, and returns in the Current Saga as a secondary antagonist during the Kozuka Knives Arc.
Appearance[]
Hase is an average high school student with short length hair with a middle part. He's also shown to be athletic, given his 50-meter track time record being 6 seconds, and attractive to the girls in his school. Hase is shown to be somewhat taller than average compared to his peers.
Personality[]
Hase appears to be an arrogant young man, looking down on Okarun and finding opportunities to belittle him whenever he can and also revels in popularity, especially among the girls. Whilst initially full of confidence and bravado, his luck turned for the worse after he lost to him in a foot-race, causing him to resent Okarun. Despite his vanity and self-importance, he isn't above mild levels of self-deprecation.

Hase is first seen in a classroom with his friends harrassing Okarun by throwing paper balls at him. Before they can continue, Momo arrives in front of Okarun, surprising everyone in the classroom and leading to Hase and his friends to leave Okarun alone.
Current Saga[]
Kozuka Knives Arc[]
Hase is seen again in gym class, asking Okarun to be his partner for physical fitness in the belief that he'd outrun Okarun without effort due to his track time being 6 seconds. However, Okarun quickly outran him, even beating his record by 0.2 seconds , much to his shock. Throughout the class, he kept getting beaten by Okarun in the various tests, causing Hase to wonder aloud when did Okarun suddenly become athletic.
Later, Hase suddenly encounters a disembodied voice, and it tells him of Okarun's newfound abilities. The voice offers him powers and in exchange, Hase steals Okarun's powers for the voice with the Asura. Unsure to trust the voice, Hase attempts to go about his day but becomes incensed when he sees girls finding Okarun attractive. Hase decides to use the Asura on himself as instructed, and nothing initially happens until Hase feels a presence behind him, indicating his new abilities.
