Spy (スパイ, Supai^?) is the eighty-eighth chapter of the Dandadan manga series.

Summary[]

Momo becomes shocked to find her friends lying on the floor badly injured. Mr. Mantis Shrimp becomes relieved to see that Momo is okay and tells her about the octopus alien Okarun defeated that is now dead after leaving its special suit. Momo goes over to the special suit to remove the human karma installed and asks Mr. Mantis Shrimp where Okarun is. Mr. Mantis Shrimp tells her that Okarun is in the next room and informs her that his kintama was taken by the aliens and that he tried to his best to treat his bad condition with his first aid kit. After opening the door, Momo becomes angered to see Bamora by Okarun's side and moves her out of the way. She then looks to see Okarun on life support and hears from Mr. Mantis Shrimp how bad his condition is. Momo demands to Bamora to take off her disguise since she knows that she is in league with the other octopus suit wearing aliens. After Bamora responds by telling her thank you, Momo attacks her to forcefully reveal her true self as an octopus alien. Mr. Mantis Shrimp tells Momo to call down but is informed by her that Bamora is a spy sent by the alien group and brings out the ball from the octopus alien's suit, the same as the one in Bamora's suit, as proof. Bamora has her kaiju suit revert back to normal to get Momo off of her and activates its invisibility to run out of the house. Momo chases after Bamora outside and yells out to her to never show her face to her again. After Bamora complies to leave, Momo becomes upset but denies that she is crying to the Serpo after he becomes confused as to why she was feeling this way towards her enemy. With this misinterpretation, the Serpo comes to believe that he will never come to understand earthlings, which Momo agrees. She then tells the Serpo that she plans on taking revenge and asks him where the alien group are. The Serpo tells Momo that their base is most likely a nearby place where they can come and go without suffering from the Earth's gravity. Knowing that they use portable warp devices that can be carried, the Serpo believes that their base is at least 1 kilometer away and, given that they came from outer space, they would need a pyramid level transmission system, therefore a nearby kofun burial mound.
