Joint Chiefs of the Imperial Military, or simply known as the Joint Chiefs are supporting antagonists within the Star Wars franchise.
Overview[]
The Joint Chiefs of the Imperial Military was a board comprising high-ranking officials from various military and intelligence branches of the Galactic Empire. Its members, including generals and admirals, advised Emperor Sheev Palpatine on military issues. They also reported daily to the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Military and the head of the Imperial High Command.
The Imperial High Command (IHC), positioned below the Joint Chiefs, coordinated the Imperial war efforts. The IHC was made up of the Admiralty, the General Staff, Stormtrooper Command, Battle Station Command, and members of the Imperial Security Bureau, even though the Joint Chiefs reported to the Supreme Commander.
The Joint Chiefs were composed of top officials from the Imperial Army and Imperial Navy, as well as chiefs from intelligence sectors, including members and directors from the Naval Intelligence Agency and the Imperial Security Bureau.
