Needlous is an enemy that debuted in Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land as the replacement for Spiny from Kirby's Adventure, and later appeared in Kirby: Canvas Curse, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, the New Challenge Stages of Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. In all of its appearances, Needlous yields the Needle Copy Ability when it is inhaled and swallowed by Kirby.

Characteristics[edit]

Needlous has a caterpillar-like body with yellow and black stripes, similar in some respect to Capiller. It has eight spikes coming out from various places at the top of its body, three on each side of its waist, and two on its back. Needlous attacks by curling itself in a ball and rolling toward Kirby. When it is not attacking, it only inches slowly across the ground.

Needlous using its roll attack in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Needlous returns as an enemy in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, now with darker brown stripes and a simpler eye design. When Kirby approaches, Needlous rolls up into a ball and starts rolling around very quickly.
