It's an important day in Dream Land: the annual Great Eating Contest. The grand prize for the winner of this competition is chef Cookin's (questionably diverse) Dream Bowl. In preparation for the event, Dream Land's residents have been fasting the days prior; however, the carefree Kirby eats breakfast immediately before the start of the competition, much to the shock of his friend Cool Spook. The meal that the contestants will need to eat is revealed to be oden, which King Dedede explains to be one of the manga's author's favorite foods. Despite his breakfast, Kirby is more than ready to dig in. Just then, the Squeaks interrupt, with their leader Daroach announcing that they will also participate under Storo's representation, as Daroach intends to get his hands on the one-of-a-kind Dream Bowl.
The contest begins, and the oden's soup proves to be too hot to eat. Kirby is not at all disheartened: he enjoys the soup as a hot tub while munching on oden. He farts in the oden bowl, causing all contestants except Storo, whose nose is stuffy due to a cold, to pass out. Once reminded about the Dream Bowl, Kirby gets serious and gains the Fighter ability, enabling his fighting spirit to devour more oden. The Squeaks are concerned that Storo will lose, but Daroach explains that he was simply a decoy to distract the audience, and they prepare to steal the Dream Bowl. However, their escape is sabotaged due to Fighter Kirby's long headband getting stuck to the Dream Bowl, which results in him getting dragged along. The Squeaks are blown away when Kirby releases the headband. Kirby runs back with the Dream Bowl, but by the time he's back, Storo is announced as the winner. Daroach gloats, but then finds the Dream Bowl to have been emptied by Kirby, who ate its contents on the way because he got hungry.

On a peaceful day in Dream Land, Daroach and the Squeaks announce the opening of Dream Land's first convenience store, "Daroach's Eleven". The excited Kirby is quick to see it for himself — and fail to eat it, too. Cool Spook and Box Boxer find the thieves' shop sketchy, and it is revealed through Daroach's denying to be part of their plan to get rich fast. Meanwhile, Kirby devours food inside the store. Given that he has no money to pay for it, he is instead forced to work as a clerk for what he ate.
Much to the Squeaks joy, the shop quickly becomes popular and attracts many residents, including King Dedede, for whom Kirby eats up a lunch box with the Fire ability. During the lunch hours, the Squeaks restock the shop while Kirby takes a nap with the Sleep ability. After some time, Spinni points out that the shop is failing to attract any new clients because of Kirby's dangerous use of Copy Abilities. To resolve this, Kirby goes outside and does tricks with the Magic ability while advertising the shop. After many rough days of advertising under harsh weather, it finally works, and the shop is full of customers again. While cleaning, Storo reports that the vacuum cleaner is broken. Kirby steps in and starts inhaling; but, naturally, he ends up inhaling too much and emptying the shelves, which leaves the Squeaks devastated.
Chapter 3: Kirby!! Undress! Undress![edit]
Main characters:
Supporting/minor characters:
Cameo:
Winter is in full swing in Dream Land. After the failure of the convenience store, Daroach and his gang have started a snow cleaning service in hopes of buying themselves warm coats. Just then, Kirby runs by, commenting on how warm it is. The Squeaks beg to know his secret, which he reveals to be a full-body wool coat that looks just like him. At that time, King Dedede, Box Boxer and Cool Spook invite Kirby to play some games together. This sparks an idea in Daroach's mind: he suggests racing to the lodge on the nearby mountain top to stay warm. At first reluctant, King Dedede decides that it'd be a good idea to participate to boost his prestige and appearance count over the Squeaks, who have had a larger role in the manga so far. With this in mind, he accepts, unaware that it's part of the Squeaks' plan to ease the snow cleaning job they were comissioned there. In the meantime, Ice Kirby makes ice sculptures of Daroach and King Dedede.
The race begins, and Wheel Kirby quickly plows through the competition, as well as a group of Chillys on their way to prepare winter-themed calendars. Kirby halts in the snow, and Pengy notices him. While Pengy is concerned that Kirby might freeze if he stays still in the snow, Kirby is instead contemplating eating the abundant snow as shaved ice. As the unamused Pengy walks off, Kirby decides to quickly inhale the snow and make a run for the lodge. However, after inhaling it all, Kirby realizes that he is as hungry as ever and collapses. Meanwhile, the heated race continues. The group eventually runs into Kirby, who is laying face down in the snow. Seeing no movement, they mourn the puffball. However, they find that it was just another of Kirby's full-body coats, and Kirby already reached the lodge, which is revealed to be Pengy's home. Pengy then tells the group that they need to clean the snow from the roof. Seeing that the lodge's roof has no snow on it, the Squeaks question this, only to find out that the actual house is much larger and mostly under the visible part, buried under a mountain of snow. Everyone ends up digging through the heaps snow, and only Kirby finds this activity fun.

King Dedede suspects it was Kirby and is told to apologize to the puffball, who is instead devouring rice from the cooker. Cool Spook tells Kirby to slow down and leave some for the king, but King Dedede assures them that his super rice cooker is limitlesss. Just then, a card flies straight at King Dedede, announcing the arrival of Daroach, who wants the rice cooker for himself. The gluttonous king and puffball want to prevent this, but seeing that Kirby intends to steal the cooker instead, King Dedede backdrops him. King Dedede's minions carry the cooker to the basement. While following them, Kirby runs into the Squeaks. Daroach decides to strike a deal with Kirby: they would share the rice cooker if Kirby helps them navigate the castle.
After Kirby philosophizes about the road of life due to misunderstanding, he guides them through the basement. Daroach warns everyone to watch out for traps, which Kirby promptly activates out of curiosity. Kirby rolls away from the incoming boulder with the Wheel ability, but the Squeaks get caught up in the boulder. After another boulder incident, they finally reach the rice cooker. The Squeaks want to eat first, but Kirby uses the Fighter ability to keep them away, revealing his intention to eat from the cooker alone. He hides on a wall with the Ninja ability and ambushes the Squeaks with clones, which all take on different abilities: Bubble, Beam, Bomb, Ice, Cutter, Animal, Metal, Spark, Hammer Hi-Jump, Tornado, Cupid, Fire, and Sleep. It's dawn in Dream Land, and Kirby and Cool Spook sing together at an impromptu concert on the roof of the Squeaks' hideout. Daroach goes out to complain about the noise so early in the morning, but Kirby continues the concert with radio gymnastics for the crowd that gathered. Back inside the hideout, Doc decides it's time to use his new mech to drive Kirby away. The hideout splits into two, revealing the huge mech from underground: Mr. Dagashi. Unfazed, Kirby proceeds to vandalize the bottom of the mech with doodles. The Squeaks get into the mech and find that the interior is a sweets shop. The mech won't move without a ¥100 payment. Anticipating the battle that is to unfold, King Dedede and Box Boxer begin commentating.
The mech starts up by launching candy at Kirby, who hoards it with the Bubble ability. Daroach follows up with a ramune launcher. Kirby elegantly deflects with Parasol and collects what pours down in a bottle. Kirby immediately opens a ramune stand, which quickly attracts customers. Doc soon strikes again with a 10 flavor chocolate saber attack, which Kirby dodges and munches on. Doc launches a chewing gum bungee and wraps Kirby, but Kirby turns the tables by spinning around the mech and starting a cyclone. The gum snaps, launching Mr. Dagashi into a tree and Kirby on a full orbit around Popstar. As he's announced the winner, Kirby shoots forward for a second lap.
Chapter 6: Cup Noodles Take Three Minutes (Part 1)[edit]
Main characters:
Supporting/minor characters:
Cameo:
- Squishy (police badges)
It's nighttime at the Moretsu Museum. Director King Dedede has received a note from Daroach announcing the latter's intention of stealing the treasured sword Galaxia at midnight. Kirby and his police crew reassure him and stand guard. At exactly midnight, Kirby lays out a bed and takes a nap, but King Dedede came prepared with cup noodles, which motivates Kirby to protect the sword. As he waits for the cup noodles to boil, he smashes the glass with the Hammer ability, trying out the Galaxia — and placing it over his noodles.
Just then, the Squeaks barge in, initially taken aback by the sword's misplacement. Storo runs in first, but Kirby retaliates with the Throw ability, determined to protect his noodles. Doc comments to Daroach about the value of the sword, which could finally make them rich. Spinni strikes at Kirby with a shuriken, which knocks the Galaxia away from the bowl. Kirby and Daroach dash for the noodles amidst the chaos while Storo lassos in the Galaxia. Tugging back at it, Kirby distracts Storo by saying that the Nintendo DS behind him will get a lot of money. As Kirby recovers the Galaxia, a figure in the shadows comments from the window. It's revealed to be Meta Knight, who slashes through and claims that the Galaxia is his. Kirby digs into the cup noodles, as 3 minutes have passed, and the chapter ends on a cliffhanger.
Short: Manpuku Monogatari ~Season 2~[edit]
Main characters:
- Kirby
- King Dedede
- Box Boxer (narrator)
Supporting/minor characters:
Box Boxer narrates the story of another one of Kirby's strolls. Suddenly, a giant watermelon rolls towards the puffball. Kirby runs from it but eventually gets caught by the giant watermelon and gets stuck in it. King Dedede runs over to Kirby to rescue him by slicing at the watermelon with an axe. However, Kirby comments on how sweet the watermelon is, and it's revealed that he's tunneling his way through by eating the inside. Now wishing to try it himself, King Dedede breaks the watermelon in two, but finds that its contents have been completely replaced by a now giant and less hungry Kirby.
Chapter 7: Cup Noodles Take Three Minutes (Part 2)[edit]
Main characters:
Supporting/minor characters:
The story continues from where chapter 6 left off. Meta Knight is now properly introduced as the "knight of love and justice", which alarms Daroach. While Kirby enjoys his cup noodles, Meta Knight explains that he lost the Galaxia last December and demands it back, while King Dedede refuses, as it is now property of the museum. Kirby is still guarding the sword together with his second bowl of cup noodles, dodging King Dedede's attempt to reclaim it. Meta Knight makes an overly dramatic remark and snatches the Galaxia from Kirby. After King Dedede and Meta Knight argue, the latter offers a deal: if Kirby can defeat him before the 3 minutes required to boil the cup noodles are up, the museum can keep the Galaxia.
The Squeakers choose to cheer for Kirby and sell snacks for the gathering audience. Armed with the Galaxia versus Copy Abilities, the duel commences. Meta Knight's attack and Tornado Kirby's cyclone clash. However, the hungry Kirby chooses to dash for the food Daroach is selling and inhales it all. Now full of energy, Kirby rushes back into battle with the Sword ability. However, rather than clashing swords, the two face off by carving giant sculptures of themselves from the museum's pillars by using the blades. The pillar supporting Meta Knight's sculpture collapse, so Kirby rushes in to the rescue. As the rubble clears out, it's revealed that Metal Kirby caught the falling stone. Meta Knight is moved by Kirby's noble act, only to realize that Kirby was protecting his cup noodles. In a battle of principles, Meta Knight prepares to slash again, but finds that the Galaxia is out of battery. Fighter Kirby strikes, sending Meta Knight flying. Everyone cheers for Kirby, but Box Boxer points out that Meta Knight blasted off together with the Galaxia.

Main characters:
Supporting/minor characters:
Cameo:
- Foley (cover)
On another peaceful day in Dream Land, Kirby and his friends are enjoying a day out. Suddenly, a worried Gao Gao runs towards them, explaining that his friend Whispy Woods hasn't returned from his forest hike. Incentivized by Whispy Woods' precious apples, Kirby rushes off to find him. The Squeaks, who had been eavesdropping, hear King Dedede's remark about the apples' great price and decide to beat Kirby to the mark and find Whispy Woods themselves. To avoid getting lost, Daroach leaves a trail of cookies, but Kirby is quick to catch on to and devour the trail. Distressed, Daroach smacks Kirby into a tree, which happens to be Whispy Woods. Storo shoots a net at Whispy Woods. Not losing to him, Cutter Kirby frees Whispy Woods from the net and carries him away.
Deeper in the forest, Kirby plants Whispy Woods down and disguises himself as a tree. Meanwhile, the Squeaks search for them, and when they're about to give up, they find two suspicious trees. Daroach throws a cookie at them, which Kirby catches and eats, blowing his cover. The Squeaks seem to have won, but just then, Gao Gao runs over. He has a heartfelt reunion with his friend. Whispy Woods explains that he wants to live in the forest now and won't be coming home, which Gao Gao tearfully accepts. Meanwhile, Kirby repeatedly mumbles about apples, so Whispy Woods tells him there is much more a forest can offer and invites Kirby to his well-equipped modern kitchen.

It's the summer holidays in Dream Land. Kirby runs over to his friends, who are reading in Whispy Woods' shade, and excitedly presents his very first ice pop stick, which he signs to mark his property. The Squeaks see this and come to get the stick, as they're only missing one for the 100 necessary to trade for a cooler. Kirby wants to take the Squeaks' sticks, but Daroach explains that they need the cooler for the hideout, which is unbearably hot due to many factors. During the explanation, Kirby constructs a replica of the Tokyo Tower out of the Squeaks' sticks, gathering the attention of a crowd. Daroach breaks it down to recover the sticks.
To deal with Kirby, Doc calls in his mech Yadgaine, which impresses Kirby rather than scaring him. The Squeaks mount the mech and attack Kirby, and the laser fired by Yadgaine damages Kirby's stick. The angered Kirby notices Mr. Frosty selling ice, which he inhales to cool off and prepare his Copy Ability. He rushes towards the Squeaks, and attacks with the Ice ability, sending them into the air and causing them to drop their sticks. Kirby is still upset about his stick, but the Squeaks' ice pop sticks start raining over him spectacularly. Kirby collects them all, turns them into his own ice pops, and then gobbles it all up. Meanwhile in a desert, the Squeaks recover from the fall and find the last remaining stick, which is signed with the word "loser".

The usually peaceful Dream Land is in peril: the Squeaks steal a Treasure Chest from the residents. As they reach a more secluded area, the Squeaks open the chest, expecting it to be full of gold; however, they find that the chest only has some cloth in it. Upon closer inspection, Doc points out that this is "miracle cloth", which Daroach says can grant any one wish. The Squeaks want Daroach to make a collective wish for the band, but Daroach is preoccupied with his stiff shoulder. The Squeaks think of wishes, but they all seem to be too simple, which irritates Daroach.
Just then, they see Kirby running by with a slice of Strawberry Shortcake, which Kirby had been waiting in line for since the previous day. Storo, who was flung by Daroach for his wish for sweets, bumps straight into Kirby, causing the puffball to lose his shortcake. Kirby becomes mad at the Squeaks, who in turn fear that Kirby may be after their treasure. Doc alerts them of Kirby's Copy Abilities as the puffball rampages with the Sword ability. Kirby then uses the Sleep ability to rest after waiting in line all night. Three hours later, Kirby wakes up to the Squeaks playing on their Nintendo DS and decides to continue his fight for the shortcake. Daroach forms a plan, which consists of mirroring Kirby by collectively sleeping. This doesn't stop Kirby from whacking at them with the Hammer ability. Kirby opens the Squeaks' chest, believing that it contains his shortcake, and is saddened by the fact that it's empty. He wishes that he had his cake again. The chest complies, producing a large amount of cakes. Kirby happily inhales the cake and the Squeaks.
