Synopsis
[]

Poppy and friends participate in a scavenger hunt where the items on the list can only be found in other dimensions. But things get complicated when alternate reality versions of the Trolls show up to join in the game and challenge our heroes.

Plot
[]

Poppy reads a note from Lownote Jones telling her where to step. She is then bubble-beamed up into the sky and meets Holly Darlin' and Guy Diamond. Lownote congratulates them for randomly being selected for a special scavenger hunt. He warns the trio that the item can only be found in other dimensions. He continues by explaining that they have 2 hours to gather as many items on the list as possible. The harder the item is to find, the more points it is worth.

Poppy pulls up item number 7: a gem from "the Jigsaw Dimension". They visit there and assemble part of the landscape, finding a gem that's worth 10 points. Next, they enter a pixel world and grab a crown worth 12 points. In the Bubble Pack Dimension, they almost get distracted by popping bubble wrap. While they waste time, their attention is drawn to another Poppy who enters through a wormhole, Lownote Jones leans out of a hole and reveals word of his hunt got around. Alternative versions of the trio want in - now it is a competition.

Guy meets Dingy Diamond, a counterpart of him who takes "all natural" to the extreme, grossing out Guy. Holly meets Hollizabeth Darlintonshire from the Cockney Tribe. The two are alright with each other, but are interrupted by Pushy Poppy. She wants to get on with things and Poppy questions her name; she doesn't actually push Trolls but gets Dingy to fall over nonetheless. Poppy helps him up and tries to address Pushy Poppy's attitude; she's happy to have her competition, but Pushy Poppy doesn't care for it. Instead of joining in, she puts her bubblegum on her face and snatches her list. Holly doesn't like Pushy Poppy and Guy believes she just ruined the entire game. Poppy ponders on how to get another list and Lownote appears to hand them a second copy.

They get to the Dessert Dimension first, but in the process of helping Guy Diamond down she loses the cupcake to Pushy Poppy, who pushes her comrades out of the wormhole and uses them to get it; she claims 145 points. By the time their finished helping each other, the cupcake is gone. Poppy now just wants after the really tough points items since they just need a few of them to win.

In the next dimension, they just have to get a crabapple worth 700 points. They don't understand how that's hard until the tree grabs their attention. Pushy Poppy appears and demands an apple, but the Tree just moves away from her. Pushy Poppy is getting irritated by the Tree as stomping her feet and yelling didn't work, and Guy comments she needs a nap. After a polite approach and a song, the trio gets an apple. But no sooner has Poppy got it does Pushy Poppy snatch it off her.

Back at the Pixel Dimension, they chase her until she throws a mushroom at them and escapes into the Bubble Pack Dimension; all 4 Trolls stop to pop bubble wrap. Back in the Dessert Dimension, Pushy Poppy looks down and realizes she is floating above jelly. She falls into the jelly and gets trapped, letting the trio retrieve the apple. Pushy Poppy can't get out and demands to be freed. Upon getting freed, she at first considers they have a point but snatches back the apple and sends them into a Wormhole.

She arrives back at Vibe Town and brags to them how she bested them; they knew she would steal from them, but freed her anyway. They said they may finish last, but they would rather be known as nice Trolls than her. Pushy Poppy doesn't care about their friendship, and believes she has won, but Lownote shows them that they found item number 45: the most important item of all "yourself". This leads to their ultimate victory and Pushy has lost, much to the Pushy Poppy's annoyance. She demands Lownote to say that she won but Lownote, also annoyed, opens a wormhole below her and she falls.

Lownote sends her to the Pillow Dimension for a nap and after a tantrum, she falls asleep.

Trivia
[]

  • This episode marks the sixth time the gag of "gravity does not work until you look down" occurs in the series.
  • The episode's plot is likely a call-back to the Trolls: The Beat Goes On! episode "Wormhole", the central hub where Poppy, Holly, and Guy visited the same as the one in the episode.
  • Pushy Poppy is a 1980s "bratty teen" version of what Pop was interpreted as.
    • Her criticism "she needs a nap" refers to how much of a child she acts like, demanding constantly things her way.
  • Dingy Diamond represents another alternative view of "natural"; whereas Guy means it to be "no clothes to hide your body", Dingy means it as "as nature intends", meaning that he doesn't bathe and allows body odor to build up. Both are actually reactions to modern life, but represent extremities.
  • Holly Darlin' and Hollizabeth Darlintonshire are two plays on cultural definitions of "darling" woman; one is a Americanization and the other is a British definition.
  • "Nice Trolls finish last" is a variation of the phrase "nice guys finish last", which refers to how those who cheat and generally play dirty take risks that often land them bigger gains, while those who play by the rules often get walked over. This is not always the case, hence why counter phrases like "cheaters never prosper" exist as a point that cheating often may get players disqualified entirely, or they'll end up overstating how good they actually are.
  • In "The Makeunder", Lownote himself mentioned facing against "Reverse Lownote"; Pushy Poppy, Dingy and Hollizabeth are more characters that follow this naming example. In "Wormhole", Poppy and Branch had met alternative versions of themselves that identified themselves as "Branch and Poppy" but muddled up the duo's traits.
