"Funder Construction" is the first segment of the 5th episode of the seventh season of Trolls: TrollsTopia, and the 98th overall episode in the series. It premiered in August 11, 2022.
Synopsis[]
When Tiny discovers he comes from a long line of expert blanket fort builders, he sets out to build a blanket structure worthy of his family's legacy.
Plot[]
Guy Diamond is flying on a Flying Critter to his pod with Poppy, whom he explains about the first time he autotuned, but that it was not quite right and came out half-auto-tuned instead. Guy finds a huge tented set up and thinks Tiny Diamond has made his first blanket fort, to which Poppy says she finds it adorable when kids take on their first "grown-up" building projects. She asks Tiny that he built all of this out of blankets and states that the Diamond family has another blanket architect in the making.
Guy mentions that they came from a long line of expert blanket fort builders. He goes to explain that the Diamonds have constructed some of the world's most famous blanket landmarks including The Leaning Tower of Fleece-a, The Taj Ma-shawl, and Guy's own master work, The Guy-ffle Tower, and every Diamond has possessed their vision to bend destiny to their will and build structures that stand until the end of time.
Tiny starts anew on inspiring to build something to establish my place among the Diamonds of yore, Plaza de Tiny. Guy and Poppy mentioned Plaza de Tiny's blanket skyscrapper which includes 52 floors, 4 cableknit elevators and an indoor swimming pool. That night, Tiny gathers the Trolls to make history by donating some blankets and in the process, the Trolls take out their blankets out of their hair and chair as they throw them onto the stage. The next day, Vibe Town sends blankets into Tiny's wagon, Cloud Guy puts his socks onto the blanket pile and Tiny takes a towel from Branch's shower. Tiny then needs to find the right location, the clearing near the southwest root of the Trolls Tree, but Guy said that there is already a structure.
At the Funtime Factory, Tiny is taking notes and he suggests Sky to move the Funtime Factory to make space for Tiny's blanket project. However, Sky told Tiny that he negotiated deals with the best confetti tycoons, frosting magnets, even "Big Piñata". As soon as Tiny prepared to make him an offer that no Troll can refuse, the project construction montage begins as Tiny and the Trolls build the blanket skyscrapper in the village, the "Plaza de Tiny".
After a while, his blanket skyscraper is nearly built. With few more weeks of construction, Tiny's vision will be straight up realized. Poppy realized that they didn't realize construction would take this long, as the upcoming Picnic Palooza will be held in the afternoon and they need their blankets back. Tiny's 1-year-old brain cannot cope with such unseen complications. If the Trolls gave all blankets until this afternoon to complete Plaza de Tiny, then Tiny would promise to return their blankets before starting their palooz-ing activity.
As the Trolls went back to work, Guy takes the pool blueprint stating that he mentioned that the aforementioned pool which will be carved from reinforced afghan are thread-bare bumper sheets, but not until Tiny's Plaza de Tiny is done. Some Flyer Bugs appear with a big bucket of water and pour it into the pool. Suddenly, the structure shakes, the pool cracks and the water flows off the structure, causing it to wobble. The Trolls on it scream in terror and the structure begins to fall.
Poppy, Synth and the Pop Trolls watch in disbelief and start to fall over. Synth stated that they don't use wet blankets for the Picnic Palooza, as Guy Diamond calls the Trolls to get out of the construction site. Tiny said to Guy that he had to keep going, as the structure collapses some more, causing him and Guy to fall screaming. Luckily, they grab onto sheets shaped like ropes.
Guy explains to Tiny that the things the Diamonds of the past did took them their entire lifetimes; they caught one glimpse of what he accomplished as a child. Guy doesn't care if Tiny builds a thousand skyscrapers, or if he never touch another blanket again, Tiny is always a Diamond and he is Guy's son. As soon as the structure falls, the Trolls laugh as the blankets fall over. Tiny said that it's the end of Plaza de Tiny, and he got an idea to build a new blanket structure, which is near the southeast root of the Troll Tree. Tiny signs out the episode as he enters the Funtime Factory again and Sky Toronto asks him to leave the factory's office.
