Episode Information

"Can't Lynn Them All" (alternatively "Can't Lynn 'Em All") is the twenty-fifth episode of the seventh season, and the three-hundred-twentieth episode of The Loud House.

Plot[]

When Lynn is scouted for her athletic prowess, she soon becomes a professional wrestler.

Synopsis[]

At the Royal Woods Sports Arena, Lincoln and Lynn are watching a wrestling match between wrestlers Meat Mountain and Hungry Hungry Herbivore. After Meat Mountain successfully kicks Hungry Hungry Herbivore's butt, he begins to egg at the audience to stand up and fight him. After calling everyone a chicken when they're too afraid to stand up to him, Lynn, taking offense, decides to jump into the ring and fight him herself, where she successfully overthrows him. This results in the audience to begin cheering for Lynn. Later, after the show, Lincoln and Lynn are about to leave, when suddenly, they are approached by Bella "Big" Bucks, the top promoter for Motor City Wrestling, who asks Lynn if she would like to join the wrestling league, to which Lynn eagerly accepts.

Before Lynn can partake in her first match, she first needs to settle on a character to embody. While digging through Lynn's closet, Leni suddenly arrives and, after revealing that she's a huge fan of wrestling, decides to lend a hand on choosing a costume for Lynn. After several ideas are shot down, Lincoln and Leni realize that she needs to settle on something that feels authentic, which causes Lynn to get an idea. Soon enough, Lynn has created her official persona: the Brawl Monitor, inspired by her duties as the middle school hall monitor, to which Lincoln and Leni approve. Later, at the sports arena, Lynn proves herself to be an excellent wrestler and gradually grows a fanbase. After several consecutive wins, Bella tells her that her next opponent is Tippy the Cow, who moonlights as a wrestler when business at Dairyland is slow. However, Bella reveals to Lynn that, because Tippy is a fan-favorite, Lynn has to lose this match, to which Lynn begrudgingly accepts.

Later, during Lynn's match with Tippy, Lynn does as instructed and lets Tippy kick her butt. Suddenly, after being taunted one step too far, Lynn decides to go against her orders and fights back, causing her to knock Tippy out and be declared the winner. Despite this resulting in the audience to boo at Lynn and pelt her with objects, Bella realizes that this could be a good thing for Lynn, explaining that she just got an idea: she should play as a bad guy who beats up every good guy, explaining that this could make her more popular than before. Despite some initial hesitation, Lynn agrees to this new direction.

Soon enough, Lynn presents herself as an all-around villain, beating up fan-favorite "good guy" wrestlers. However, this causes her fanbase and the general audience to turn against her, and despite Lincoln and Leni's concerns about all the negative attention she's getting, Lynn is too focused on her fame to not be bothered by it. Unfortunately, Lynn soon discovers that, because of her new bad guy image, everyone around her now gives her a hard time, like Flip imposing a $50 Flippee price exclusively for her and being pelted by spitballs at the middle school (which even has Meryl of all people joining in on the mistreatment). Because of how much this is affecting her life outside the ring, Lynn approaches Bella and tells that she doesn't want to play the bad guy anymore, but Bella argues that this is exactly what Lynn wanted. Before Lynn could argue back, Bella reveals that she has just arranged another match, this time against the supposedly most famous good guy.

S7E13B I'm done being hated, and I'm done wearing this stupid singlet!

Lynn officially quits the wrestling business.

Later, Lynn is partaking in her next match, and discovers that her opponent is Santa Claus. Not wanting to beat up the icon of Christmas himself, Lynn realizes that the only way out of her situation is to throw the match. Lynn tries to tell Santa to beat her up, but Santa refuses, wanting to stick to the script. As a result, Lynn attempts to do whatever she can to get herself eliminated, only for Santa to start doing the same. After some initial struggle, Lynn manages to trick Santa into falling on top of her, thus making the audience believe that Santa successfully defeated the Brawl Monitor. With her goal accomplished, Lynn prepares to leave, but before she can, Bella approaches her and warns her not to go off the script next time, only for Lynn to state that she's quitting, because she doesn't want to be hated on anymore (and because her singlet hurts to wear). This causes Bella to proclaim that she'll come back, only for Lynn to respond by throwing her singlet at Bella's face.

Cast[]

Trivia[]

Can't Lynn Them All deleted scene

Deleted scene

  • This episode originally had a different ending. It would've involved Lincoln, Leni and Lynn getting Flippees, with the latter relieved that she's no longer a pariah. Suddenly, an elderly woman would enter the store, and Leni would mistake her as the wrestler Sweet Ol' Granny, prompting her to attack her under the assumption she was sent to get revenge on Lynn, only for Flip to point out that the woman is his Aunt Martha.
  • The premise of this episode is nearly similar to that of "Sponsor Tripped", as both episodes involved Lynn signing a deal, only to suffer its downsides.
  • This is the last episode where Bentley Griffin voices Lincoln. However, he would go on to voice him in No Time to Spy: A Loud House Movie.
  • Lynn's Three Cs of Powerlifting are similar to Lincoln's Four Rs from "Overnight Success" and Three Cs of Big Brothering from "Baby Steps".
    • Lincoln's Three Cs of Big Brothering and Lynn's Three Cs of Powerlifting both have "Confidence" as one of the three Cs.
      • Somewhat ironically, one of Lynn's Three Cs doesn't begin with C (that being "quads").
  • This episode reveals the following:
    • Leni is revealed to be a big fan of wrestling, describing it as "a big, sweaty soap opera". Her favorite wrestler is a former hair stylist named Pixie Cutz (hence her name being the name of a hairstyle).
    • During the Dairyland slow season, the person playing Tippy wears the costume as their wrestling outfit.
  • This is the 13th episode where Liam appears without Rusty after "Overnight Success", "Yes Man", "Senior Moment", "Cow Pie Kid". "Training Day", "Double Trouble", "Lynn and Order", "Love Stinks", and "Music to My Fears".
  • Cartoon physics:
    • Lynn single handedly takes down multiple wrestlers twice her age and size.
    • The wrestler playing Tippy beats up Lynn by slapping the costume's tail, even though it should be immobile due to the person controlling both of Tippy's arms and legs.
  • Innuendo:
    • Lynn mentions getting "not so nice" gestures from angry fans, implying that they gave her the finger.
    • At the end of the episode, Lynn takes off her singlet and throws it into Bella's face in protest, implicitly exposing herself.
  • Irony:
    • After noticing nobody who wanted to wrestle him, the Meat Mountain claimed that the auditorium was full of chickens. He had also just laid eyes on one of Liam's chickens laying an egg in fear.
    • One of the wrestler outfits that Leni tested on Lynn was a clown outfit. Lynn eventually ended up wrestling a clown-themed wrestler named Creeps the Clown.
    • When trying on different outfits, Lynn, at one point, is shown wearing Lincoln's clothes, prompting her to ask "Who wears this?", unaware that Lincoln is standing right in front of her.
    • Lynn thought the idea of being a villain who loves to be hated would be a good thing for her public image, but immediately regretted going in that direction when people gave her a hard time outside the ring.

References[]

  • Hungry Hungry Hippos - One of the wrestlers is named the Hungry Hungry Herbivore, a reference to this board game manufactured by Hasbro.
  • The Fairly OddParents - The wand and floating crown from Lynn's fairy outfit resemble those of the fairies from this Nicktoon created by Butch Hartman. Butch is also close friends with the show’s creator, Chris Savino.
  • Cat burglar - One of the wrestlers uses this term to refer to a thief who enters a building via an upper story as their nickname.
    • Catwoman - Also the cat burglar's appearance nearly resembled Halle Berry's Catwoman from the 2004 film of the same name.

Errors[]

  • The episode's cast list omits Jessica DiCicco's surname and misspell Liliana Mumy as "Lilianna Mumy."
  • When Creeps the Clown is spun around rapidly by Lynn, his wig can be see flying off along with his other accessories even though it already fell off when he was attacked by Lynn.
