Giga Claymore (ギガクレイモア?) is a zweihänder that has appeared in multiple games. It first appeared in Soulcalibur III as a weapon for Strife Astlar and custom characters who used the Iron Sword discipline. It would return as one of Nightmare's weapons in Soulcalibur IV, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, Soulcalibur: Lost Swords, and Soulcalibur VI.
In English versions of various Soulcalibur games, it was called Claymore. Soulcalibur: Lost Swords is the first time the English name matched the Japanese name.

Soulcalibur VI[]
Description: "Claymore" refers to the double-handed sword used in Scotland from the 14th to the 17th century. It was smaller than other similar swords of the time, and was designed for quick movements that would confound and fluster the opponent. This particular version of the sword, however, is much bigger, with its extra weight being used to bludgeon.
