Soul Edge (Larvae) (ソウルエッジ（ラルヴァ）?) is the smallest and weakest-looking version of Soul Edge that appears in Soulcalibur III. It is simply an all-black sword with blood red stripes that has only a passing resemblance to the male sword.

There are two methods to obtain Soul Edge (Larvae): the first method is to defeat Nightmare in Tales of Souls, although the chances of obtaining it this way is low; and the other method is to simply purchase it in the Weapons Shop for 23,400 Gold. However, you need to unlock it first before it'll appear in the Weapons Shop's listing. There are two ways to make it appear in the Shop's listing:
- Fight a total of 350 matches.
- Clear any of the following stages during Nightmare's Tales of Souls:
