Kuzzle is an elderly Koopa Troopa who formerly had the second Star Cure in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and the remake Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey.

Kuzzle has light blue skin, a gray mustache and beard to indicate that he is old, and wears a red shell.

Kuzzle first appears in a house in Plack Beach where he explains that his house was trashed and his Star Cure was stolen from him by Bowser after a failed attempt to placate the Koopa King with a puzzle. The player can do puzzles for him to decorate his house and earn rewards, including the Spin Pipe.

Kuzzle's name is based on the word "puzzle," with the first word of his name being a K instead of a P, owing to him being a Koopa.

Nomenclature[]

In Japaneze, Kuzzle's name is Ryūgū, which means "palace of the Dragon King." (written りゅうぐう in Hiragana and リュウグウ in Katakana). His Spanish name is Maestro Puzlero, meaning "Puzzle Master." In Italian, his name is Rompikoopa (from rompicapo ("puzzle") and "Koopa," his species). His German name is Koopuzzle (from "Koopa" and "puzzle"). In French, he is called Sounion, of unknown origin. In Korean, he bears the name Reojeul (written 러즐), from "Russell" and a Korean transliteration of "puzzle" (more specifically peojeul, written 퍼즐).
