Coin Battle is a multiplayer mode in a few of the New Super Mario Bros. series titles. It first appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and returns in New Super Mario Bros. U and its enhanced port New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

Description[]

In Coin Battle, up to four players compete to collect the most coins in a level, most of which are from the main adventure. Various actions that would normally earn the players points in the main adventure instead earn them a certain number of coins.
