A Bubble Baby Yoshi is a variant of Baby Yoshi appearing mainly in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

Bubble Baby Yoshis have the exact appearance of a regular blue Baby Yoshi.

Behavior[]

While a Bubble Baby Yoshi is being held by a character, it can blow out bubbles that can trap enemies and can be bounced on by the characters.

In New Super Mario Bros. U[]

Bubble Baby Yoshis can be seen on the world map in Frosted Glacier and Rock-Candy Mines, and can be met and taken to any other course except for castles and towers. A Bubble Baby Yoshi also adds a chorus to the current music, one he himself creates.

In the Wii U games, the player can have a Bubble Baby Yoshi release bubbles by either shaking the or pressing the button on , while in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, this can be done by tapping .

In Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam[]

A Bubble Baby Yoshi appears on a collectible Battle Card alongside Blue Toad.
