The Luigi Block is an object in New Super Luigi U and its remake included within New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
Description[]
The Luigi Block is a block that, contrary to its name, is modeled after Mario's signature "M" instead of Luigi's "L." After Bowser has been defeated, a Luigi Block appears at the start of levels, and hitting it switches to the physics of New Super Mario Bros. U, with lower jumps and better traction. The Luigi Block does not affect Nabbit, and in the original Wii U version, the Luigi Block does not appear if he is used in single-player mode. If a Luigi Block is hit for the first time in a play session, a message appears, describing the block's effects.
